Wait, you have other stories? Why would you have other stories when this one is clearly what you should be working on 100% of the time? :(

I guess I'll try your other HP fanfic. :(

His other HP fanfic is actually really damn good. I almost wish he'd work on it more than this one. :(

    Key word: Almost.

That said, I really enjoyed Chapter 13. You've introduced us to the first mission, picked up the timeline on Stane's betrayal (or rather, the reveal of the betrayal), and made some interesting mixes with Harry and the Avengers. It seems to me that now you are beginning to reach the moment of truth for this story. Are you willing to change canon? Will you bring in villains who we have not seen in the movies? Will we see spiderman? the X-Men?

Personally I hope to see some major diversions, just as in a good HP fanfiction... following canon too closely gets boring quickly.

    Good Luck.

X-Men don't exist or exist differently than in any established continuity - I strongly doubt they'd just let events lie. That said, I am already pointing to including non-Avengers material that doesn't clash too much with what's already there, and such characters as Spidey are definitely in there. (technically he's even Avengers material. :p)

He's witty and quips while fighting. Get Deadpool in there and between those two and Stark, I'll never be bored again.

    Cheers.

    Oh god. Deadpool.

Be very careful with Deadpool -- He tends to turn even the most serious piece into crack. Especially with his tendency to break the 4th wall.

As for Spiderman: Are you intending to do the Spiderman a la 1, 2, and 3? Or are you going to follow the newest movie (The Amazing Spiderman) and have his web's come from a tech developed by his departed dad?

Other than that, I'm looking forward to everything you've just promised!

Eh, Deadpool was mostly a joke, honestly. I don't think including him makes much sense without at least some mutants existing (Wolverine? Wait, that would be awesome.)

Spider-Man would likely be the new movie, yes - the ultimate universe is more in line with the cinematic one and this version doesn't have the baggage of the previous one. Knowing Harry, he'll run into Spidey the moment he'll walk into NY. >_> Still, the image I have of Spidey would undoubtedly end up making him more like traditional witty Spider-Man anyway.

    Cheers.

Oi, are you really going to include Spiderman?

Spiderman is my favorite Marvel character, and I have my doubts for the new movie. The ultimate Spiderman comics were a fucking disaster, so the new movie has me up in arms. Maybe when I see it I'll change my mind.

Well, your inclusion of Spiderman will either be amazing for me, or horrible. Let's hope it's the former.

Edit: For the love of god, no mutants.

I'd personally hope for the avoidance of Deadpool/Mutants, but it's your story. I've liked everything so far you've written, so I'm fairly sure that it'd turn out alright even if you did include them.

Yeah, if it's gonna be anyone, it'd be witty Spidey, the one I grew up with. Maybe with some of his background from the new movie, since I can't stand the guy who played him in the other three movies. :p

Mutants : almost certainly not. I don't think all the baggage that comes with that is worth it.

I might make a casual mention of Wade Wilson - who knows, maybe he's an upstanding member of society in a universe without mutants.

    Now...

This was sent to me in the mail. It was typed entirely in Rockwell Extra size 16 bold italic, and the punctuation and formatting is preserved: I thought Impact most resembled the original font. The sincerest form of flattery, I dunno?

I assume he means don't drop off the face of the earth, but I could be wrong.

Edit: About spiderman, can't you just go with his canon background, from the comics? I am unsure how closely the new movie resembles canon, but it obviously deviates. Why not take comic spidey?

Yeah, the new movie isn't exactly wowing me with all the weird changes they're making to the origin and making Peter look like Edward Cullen, but you didn't like Ultimate Spider-Man? I thought they were pretty awesome, up until, you know, they killed him. Spider-Man was the only good thing left about the Ultimate Universe by then. Admittedly it faltered somewhat after Ultimatum, but not nearly to the degree of the other titles.

The less we say about the new "Ultimate Spider-Man" cartoon, the better. What a waste.

@Roarian: If you're going to take your Spider-Man from a specific continuity, maybe you could try the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon from a few years ago. That one was really well-done and took cues from both the mainstream continuity and the Ultimate version.

No I didn't. I don't like what they did with the characters, particularly the supervillains, I remember going "meh" at the plots, but the worst thing was the art. The ultimate spiderman comics had a style that made my eye twitch, I really didn't like it.

As Republic pointed out, it was for you to drop off the face of the earth.
Santi's popular fic 'Harry Potter and the Boy Who Lived' hasn't been updated since late december, although he has not abandoned it.

I'm not sure. But there's been some talk about some family business, which I will not delve into.

If Wolf550 can be considered a valid source, we may have to wait for a bit.

'By July' implies that it'll be done before July is here. Santi also said he'd try, if Wolf can indeed be trusted.

Going off the assumption that he can, if Santi's working 12+ hour days, I doubt he'll have much, if any, time to write. If he does, it's probably rough ideas in a notebook, and not much else. Then again, I'm not Santi, I'm just going off my personal experience with being that busy.

Iirc Homo Superior was something that Magneto said. I don't know much about XMen though.

Sounds a bit like the Ultimate origin for mutants: a WWII-era experiment in the same vein as the Super Soldier serum that somehow spread out across the general population.

Not a great explanation for the existence of mutants, frankly. Though since there are barely any mutants left alive in the Ultimate universe by now, since the government has been hunting them down like animals and Ultimatum basically killed all the X-Men characters, including Magneto and Xavier, I guess it doesn't matter.

Could just be a reference to the X-Men franchise and not really hint at mutants eventually appearing, but we'll see.
