Looks like this patch isn't going to be making any major changes, well, apart from the fact that mana potions now only cost 35 gold :D

It made another major change too, NA can't play at all. Honest mistake, or insidious plot by the European nations-nay! The world at large?

I actually felt sorry for the Euro players. Considering a swarm of experienced NA players flooded their lower ELOs... I wonder how many noobs were scared off...

Also reminded me just how bad some of the lower levels are, and how freakin arrogant they can be.

While it's true that I haven't really seen any updates that have shocked my pants off, the new pics for the updated characters look pretty good. Also, the little changes for game-play (such as leveling up) are pretty nifty.

By the way, the name on my account is:

Void Sorcerer - How original, right?

A question. Is the Tribunal NA only? Because I've been trying to go into the Tribunal from the website, from the EU server, but it switches to NA immediately.

Edit: Well, the problem seems to be that everytime I go to a different part of the website I am logged off and switched to NA, but everytime I log in I get redirected to the front page. So what I have to do is manage to stay logged on and on the Tribunal page. Help?

I have now lost four games in a row due to either terrible Ezreals or someone intentionally feeding because I dared to pick Ezreal first.

    I like this game.

This. A new character comes out, (or, in this case, Pulsefire Ezreal, which has been in production for so long it might as well be a new character) and everyone buys them. 90% of the people who buy them suck, and of those remaining 10% who don't, someone on the team will intentionally feed for daring to own the new thing before them.

Nice of them to post about the Jayce patch without revealing who Jayce will be... I want to say a new support/tank but I doubt it, no reason, just going on a whim with nothing to back it up.

Recently made a new account on EU East/Nordic, in the process of levelling it up - would you guys reccommend doing that vs bots or just dive headlong into PvP so I can get used to peoples fuck ups now? Only level 7 currently and I've spent the entire free week playing a mixture of tank and support Alistair in different games, looking at learning to jungle though I know that's one of the harder if not the hardest role in LoL, so, any tips would be appreciated, though reading a couple of guides I think I've got the jist of it.

I'd say just play both bots and pvp. If it's a new champion, play a game or two vs bots, then jump into pvp. Highly frustrating for people when you enter a game without knowing what your champion do. Still, I would take the time now to play as many champions as you can, rinsing and repeating the bot - pvp practice. Should not get into the trap of knowing nothing but how to play mages once you reach 30.

Jayce is another Nidalee, a hybrid melee/ranged champion with a stance switching ult. In this case it's a sweet transforming hextech hammer. There's an ability preview up on YouTube.

Jungling is very rune and mastery dependant and, with the possible exception of Warwick and Fiddlesticks, all but impossible to do at low levels. I wouldn't bother trying to learn it until the 20s.

This is wrong. Since the jungle change, it is quite possible to jungle many things without the correct runes or masteries. At low levels, champions like Rammus, Nautilius, Lee Sin, Warwick, Trundle, Udyr, Cho'Gath, Nocturne, Malphite, Shen, and many more can jungle with sub-optimal runes/masteries.

Well, I know the basic premises of jungling at least so I'll wait a while longer then. Outside of Alistair I have experience of playing Renekton, Ziggs, Ryze, Taric, Gangplank and I think it was Tristana on my EU West account, though again he's only 14 or so, made an East account to play with some friends.

Jayce looks... rather unremarkable bar the transforming weapon but, we shall have to wait and see.

Edit - Bit of a silly question, but, would purchasing one of the Hero bundle packs be worth it? I'm not sure which account I really want to do it on just yet as on the one hand, I only play with my friends on the EU East/Nordic, whereas on the West I'm a higher level, more likely to reach 30 first, but ultimately I'm not sure what to do with either account. I wouldn't mind playing some 5's just for fun, maybe semi-seriously if I ever get what I'd call 'good' at certain roles/champions, but I fear that'll be a while off.

Jayce looks Sweet. Rare occasion that I already have around 6400 IP Sooo looking forward to buying the character.
    :3

    EDIT:
Just bought Jayce and played 3 games with him. Ridiculous amount of combos that can be employed make him one of the most fun champs to play. <3

Other than that, I would predict he's gonna be a hard character to play for a lot of people. I've had most success playing him tanky rather than pure AD though.

So who can give me a quick summary of what has changed since may?
I tried out Jayce in a bot game, but I was still trying to work out moving with right click after playing diablo for so long. It didn't go well.

Jayce is going to require a hell of a lot of skill to play, but the sheer number of combinations he has is awesome and he's got a great load of utility, too.

Bit light on the killing power, though. At least in bursts. He's definitely a sustained damage champion.

On that topic: I'm not very good with him, but I agree with the tanky rather than AD build suggestion. I seem to do better when I build tanky.

I haven't tried him in the jungle yet, but his ganks are amazing. His leap plus his knockback is pretty hard to escape. His burst is decent, but his damage as a whole is more sustained.

I'm still experimenting with skills, though. I generally go Q-E-W, then max W>E>Q. Early game I tend to use Q and E for their utility, which is why I take them early.

I max W first because the AD ratios on his Q and E are so good, they don't need to be maxed first. If you take AD runes, you've already boosted the damage on them by a fair bit. You do lose out on cooldown timers early, but the increased mana per hit and the reduced cooldowns on his cannon-form W allow effective harass and mana sustain.

I like Sheen on him, although it is a shame his leap doesn't seem to apply its proc like Irelia's Bladesurge does.

I'm definitely not very good with him, but I can see him being amazing if played well.
