There is a 95% chance I will end up buying it today. I get ~300 ping on US and ~240 ping on EU/AUS servers.

    I have a 200-250 ping on these http://www.gametracker.com/search/arma2/A0/

Ping them and tell me how it is for you (and anyone else who will play) and if we'll be able to play on it.

And I doubt it will go on sale anytime soon, it's like #3 on bestseller list. >_>

Also, nmb, is the base game good too?

Two weeks of downloading through crappy internets. Innumerable attempts to get the vanilla game working. Even more hassle getting Day-Z working, but it's finally done.

    I CAN PLAY!

Going to buy Arma 2 this week, just for this mod. It's amazing with how few things you can make an awesome game.

Anyone want to join up? I find having two people at the start comes in handy so that at least one of you can get a hatchet or gun of some sort >.>

You know what we should do? Get a gang of DLP members to play, and just run around "grief"ing people.

"ohay nice gun. Is mine now. :awesome"

That is essentially what everyone else is doing in this game right now. It's a huge shame to be honest, but because there has been a massive influx of players and there's no real way of trusting anyone you happen upon during the game, it's pretty much become a large complicated game of deathmatch which the only way to effectively win is to team up in larger and larger groups, eventually ending up becoming a complicated game of team deathmatch :p

It was a really fun game for a while, especially when you couldn't be certain what anyone's intentions might be and the main priority was finding people to help you survive. But now with the modified loot spawns and the fact that you can be certain anyone who comes face to face with you is going to blow your brains out, the game isn't half so much fun.

Im thinking the appropriate response to this is "tl;dr: they made it a realistic zombie apocalypse game?" but I still havent even sat down to play it yet, so who knows. And its not like DLP doesnt have a shortage of people willing to roll bitches who fuck with other DLPfags so who cares, amirite? :D

Limited resources means its gonna be a fight against one another. I get most probably arent rolling people for that reason, but the point stands... Just slightly more realistic than other shit zombie games, like that one they put in the call of duty game or dead rising. :|

I actually met a fair few people and I managed to ask them about the upcoming town that they were leaving from. All done in a very gentlemanly fashion.

Then there was that time I was sniped down for no reason when I only had some pills on me.

    So yeah.
