Yeah, but they were still dead, just zombies. Besides, that jutsu was cancelled, they're dead again.

^Lol way to be a little late to the party, man.

For my part, the resurrection is utterly retarded. I believe I've said it before, about how Oro isn't a particularly good villain IMO (he pretty much is Voldemort at this point), and his involvement it completely unnecessary. At this point, Sasuke is on the way to either total redemption or complete villain status, via getting all the facts and making his own opinions about them (as he himself said in the chapter). The latter is what I'm hoping for, as it would make him a completely credible villain who's against Naruto on principle and not just for revenge. Oro isn't needed (or shouldn't be needed) for development like that.

All his involvement promises is a more drawn out Sasuke saga which, as good as it will be for character development, I don't want. That, and his helping of Sasuke makes almost no sense. I got the impression that Oro's not nearly at full strength, so sticking around to possibly take advantage of Sasuke in a weakened state would be plausible, but there's no indication that that's what he's doing. It came across as Oro pretty much saying, "Hmm, you've grown up some. I'll help you out." Makes zero sense to me.

Mediocre chapter all around. Where the fuck is Naruto vs Tobi?

Are you serious? Oro said that he is still after Sasuke‘s body, but is in no condition to steal it yet. Also, I think he has yet to regain use of his arms. Didn‘t Suigetsu say something like that?

From Suigetsu's words it suggests that, whilst Orochimaru was able to regain mobility in his arms by bodyswitching, he still cannot use handseals.

Which explains a lot really. The only techniques we saw Orochimaru use after the Hokage fight were ones related to his self-experimentation, variations of his snake summoning and the Rashoumon (which didn't use hand seals). Apparently, this is because he simply wasn't capable of doing anything else; most ninjutsu is beyond his ability now.

And he is still a badass.

Say what you will about Orochimaru, call him a cliche villain or whatever, but he is well deserving of his S-class status.

No doubt he's deserving of S-rank status. Dude is mad powerful all around. I'm just saying that the lack of real reasoning behind his helping Sasuke irks me. If he's staying just to try to take Sasuke's body again, great, but it's been played out already IMO.

I'm just more than ready to be done with him once and for all.

The biggest problem with this is that Sasuke really has no credible reason to choose being a villain.

Ever since his family was killed, he's been surrounded by people who want to help and support him, going out of their ways to bring him closer to his goal of seeking closure and happiness. The very sad thing is that the two people he meets who tell him straight up that they're using him and will probably fuck him over in the end are the ones he flocks to.

Concerning his clan and revenge, really only two people are still alive who had a hand in it, and they're old and rather powerless at this point. The real people at fault for the destruction of the Uchiha clan were the Uchiha themselves.

There's just literally no way that Sasuke could believably choose the bad guys (who either admitted to having a hand in the destruction of his clan or are going to try to effectively kill him) over the people who have gone to bat for him time and time again.. It's such an absurd leap in logic that it's mind-boggling.

Which is why I'm confused as to what Sasuke even hopes to find out by visiting wherever the hell he's going to. What more could he learn that could really effect his decision?

Sasuke has repeatedly stated that he wants to crush the Leaf because they lived on uncaringly due to Itachi‘s and his clan‘s sacrifice, and ... he doesn‘t find that fair, I suppose?
I‘d be pretty pissed and bitter towards the Leaf in his place, to be honest. Sasuke has been through a lot, and undergone immense traumas, it‘s no surprise that he is going mad.

Sasuke's entire reason for existence is to avenge his clan. People supporting him are less important than his revenge. Flocking to the people trying to use him has actually worked out rather well for him so far. Besides it's not as though the Uchiha were entirely wrong to rebel under the circumstances if they really were being disenfranchised and discriminated against.

It should be noted that there is no evidence whatsoever that the Uchiha were discriminated against. Except for Tobis word, who in the exact same conversation lied about his identity and the Kyuubi attack.

No one ever discriminates against Sasuke, despite the fact that any discrimination should have been enhanced if the Uchiha were blamed for Kyuubi.

Obito was on the team with Minato and was treated extemely well by Minato.

Kushina had a warm friendship with Sasukes Mother.

All Uchiha living in the same place is hard to claim as discrimination when we have evidence that the Hyuuga for example do exactly the same. Seems to be standard practise.

The Uchiha had a special position as a police force, which gave them power BEYOND all the other clans in Konoha.

Sarutobi seems to consider the Uchiha to be comrades and desperately wants a peacefull solution.

And so on. If there was discrimination, it would have been so minor that a violent coup would be massively improportionate, when a public protest would probably have achieved what they wanted.

I saw a theory on another naruto forum, where someone came up with the idea that Tobi might have manipulated the Uchiha into the coup. Itachi atleast seemed to believe, that a coup would lead to a civil war and eventually a world war, which would destroy both Konoha and the Uchiha, so the coup does not exactly make much sense. However, Itachi also claimed that sharingan could break free of his Tsukuyomi, and with a little help from his cursed seal, Sasuke was actually able to do that.

What is Tobis plan? To create a worldwide Tsukuyomi where he controls everyone. Having an entire clan of people with eyes that can resist said technique would be rather bothersome, better get rid of them. We know that Tobi is a manipulator who controlled the previous Mizukage so we know he has abilities in controlling minds. It would not surprise me at all if at the end we learn that all that stuff about Uchiha being discriminated against was garbage, and Tobi just manipulated everything to get rid of the Uchiha and hopefully Konoha too (he failed in that).

That's... actually quite a smart interpretation. I hadn't considered the Sharingan breaking out of Tsukuyomi bit.

From what I remember, the discrimination didn't really start until after the Kyuubi's attack. That's when they forced to move into a corner of the village and were kept under surveillance due to the suspicions of them being behind the attack.

I said if it really was true because it was Tobi's account.

Anyway the discrimination against the Uchiha was suppose to have started after the Kyuubi attack. How Minato and Kushina interacted with them isn't relevant.

After the clan is wiped out Sasuke may have been seen as a largely harmless village resource.

Sarutobi doesn't really reflect the entire village. He's pretty much the best of them.

Anyway we don't really have any significant Uchiha interaction during that time period to state that Uchiha discrimination didn't happen.

I seem to recall someone somewhere claiming that giving them the authority of policing the entire village was some clever manipulation by the second hokage. Yep, just checked (chapter 339). According to Tobi, giving the Uchiha the authority to police the village, and logically all the powers that come with it (ability to question suspects, arrest people, investigate and so on) was in reality a clever plot to keep the Uchiha powerless and out of goverment.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

Just why was Uchiha clan discriminated against after Kyuubi´s attack ?

Nobody saw Tobi and Minato and Kushina died before pointing fingers on Sharingan user. It does not make sense to suspect loyal clan of Konoha instead of, for example, Kumo, with their interest in Kushina, jinchuuriki and hatred of Konoha.

Now I think I read something about Sharingan in Kyuubi´s eyes when controlled but it it was truth in canon and not only fanon than it is not a reason to be suspected and concentrated into their own part of village, it is reason to be interrogated until you spew even your childhood secrets because it is practically a declaration of war and clear proof of guilt.

Or maybe it was because there is one person who without doubt has seen Kushina moving into super secret base and knows/suspects that she is about to give a birth (Mikoto) and could have informed unknown attacker ?

The Sharingan in the Kyuubi's eye was only visible for a second so I doubt anyone saw it.

The Uchiha were likely blamed (or at least considered highly suspicious) because 1) they were known for the ability to control it 2) out of everyone with an interest in the Kyuubi, the Uchiha were the ones who'd have a greater chance of learning about Kushina's location and childbirth and 3) the Kyuubi was summoned in the middle of Konoha rather than storming over from Kushina's location, implying that it was a planned assault.

It apparently made sense enough that Tobi would say it and Sasuke would believe it. Both of them likely know more about the governing of Konoha than you. Besides you act as though what Tobi said was absurd. It's possible that the police force prevented(or otherwise hampered) the Uchiha from seeking positions elsewhere in the government. It would lead to Tobi's statement of the Uchiha being made the Senju's dogs if the Uchiha couldn't reach the positions that controlled their organization.

We can't dismiss Tobi's account of events until we see actual evidence to the contrary.

Wasn't it implied if not stated ANBU were used to keep an eye on the Uchiha?, and even though it wasn't explicitly stated, it was heavily implied ANBU were higher up in the hierarchy than the Police Force so it would make perfect sense. Also it would have reduced Uchiha influence among the regular Shinobi forces as most of the Uchiha Shinobi were policeman and very few were in ANBU or regular forces.
