I'm not happy accepting the plan just because you're "reasonably sure" that he's not DoA.

Now seriously, I do not consider the second heir to be important at all. You're looking at this very stupidly. The role that the second heir reveals could be far more important. You realize this game has a revive mechanism and that scum can remove people permanently if they know the role? Town have way too many kill options. So much so infact, that I'm pretty sure a lot of people will die from friendly fire. Our entire win could be held in the balance on the premise of certain people coming back to life.

That's as scummy as saying, "I'm not happy lynching this person because it could be a mislynch".

Thank you, now I have a perfect reason to lynch you.

I meant to say, it's somewhat important, but the role he reveals could be more important!

And for the immediate future Para would be invulnerable. As it is he's inviting a nightkill anyway, which lowers the number of kills we get per night. I mean, Para is essentially a townfirmed guy with a nightkill at this point; witches will want him dead. So we either give him protection or he dies, taking the nightkill with him until the first revival night, at which point they kill him again because he's townfirmed and has a nightkill (scumkill beats kingdomkill in priority, so Para dies first).

So really, the only thing we're doing if we leave Para unprotected is setting up the witches to kill him off every other night and robbing us of a valuable asset besides.

How am I role fishing? I'm doing the opposite! I don't want roles to be revealed this early in the game so people who die early can be revived! Your no reason lynch vote is duly noted.

12 out of 13 times, he is not DoA. If you're not reasonably sure yourself then I can not help you.

Of course, a confirmed town with a kill every other day isn't important at all. I was so stupid in thinking so.

If his role is far more important, that is good.

If someone comes up and says he is (insert most important role ever) we can not confirm it.

Well, now we can. The fact that no one challenges the claim that soundly is heir, verifies he is town. So if he claims a role we can be sure he is telling the truth.

We will have protection for him. Unless scum gets lucky and takes DoA out, the scum can't kill the second heir.

From what I can see of all the roles, I am pretty sure it won't hinge on one role alone. If that role is indeed that important, then having confirmation on who he is and having open communication with him for however long (at least 2 or 3 days) will be even more useful.

Also, like Aekiel said, scum will go after soundly regardless or whether he role-claims or not. They would be stupid not to. This way we get more info and also make sure he doesn't die.

That's more like it I guess. Great point on the town-firmed thing. Didn't realize that...I guess I'm not happy with the heir role claiming for reasons that I already mentioned but I won't hold my stance so firmly that I'm disrupting conversation. I'm okay with the second heir role revealing.

Most people are asleep I guess. I will keep checking the thread but I will probably only post after more opinions are in.

For now, I suggest we move forward and soundly RR's.

I don't want to vote against dhulli yet because of the fiasco that was DE3. But yes, we do need a lynch target, no lynch is bad. If no one else comes up I am fine with lynching him.

Mostly I want to hear from soundly and the other heir. They are the only two people who we are sure are not scum and while reading their opinions I don't have to look for scum-angles.

If soundlyParanoid is the DoA, he should simply fakeclaim a proper townrole. He's townfirmed anyway because no one heir-counterclaimed and no scum would heir-fakeclaim, so the town whose role is fakeclaimed should just keep it shut.

If scum wants to risk wasting a night-kill on the 1/13 chance that sP is the DoA, they can be my guests. If sP dies after all, there's also the possibility that what happened was that the real DoA decided to use his power on someone else, because he considered soundlyParanoid safe from such a wine-kill. So, the following attempt to banish him would actually be a risk as well.

Scum doesn't gambit. Usually. Not soon in the game, anyway.

Finally, my plan was always conceived with in mind also the addition of giving the Earl of Kent's knife to the second, protected heir (or Gloucester, before I realized the Doctor role didn't protect shit). So that should happen too. And we should all discuss how all that should be used after we push and poke people.

I'll be back for that in a few.

    Damnit Stojil...that's brilliant!

You are now confirmed town as far as I am concerned.

I don't have anything against sP RC-ing. The plan looks good.

...Not many opinions to input at the moment. Except for this: Dhulli's post #34 spiked my suspicions way more than anything else (even the anti-claim suspicious thing).

    /me sighs

No, that's something I do occasionally and brings to all kinds of bad things. Always assume the enemy is stupid but can be smart. Also, I hmm at your use of "enemy" instead of "scum".

dhulli, all your argument was bad, giving the impression that you were pretty much grasping at straws to stop the roleclaim and consequently Para's night-immunity, especially what Castiel pointed out. This, for those who had missed it:

    Also:

    I hmm at "Damnit" too.

Don't use this logic, man. Don't decide he can't be scum based on a game from over six months ago. If you think he might be scum then vote for him. Like this:

The reason for the second heir not role-claiming: A reason why scum would likely not kill him.

Seriously, can none of you follow along with that logic? I thought you were better than that Stojil. Also, can anyone tell me what I've done that makes them think I'm scum?

    Damnit...really Stojil?

Sorry, maybe I don't get it (though I doubt it :sherlock:). Is this it or are you hinting that you have a reason you haven't outright stated?

If it's the former, it sucks. If it's the latter, not saying it doesn't make sense since it's apparently "a reason why scum would likely not kill him", which is be the point of the whole DoA plan.

We're asking Para to roleclaim so the Duke can protect him so "scum would likely not kill him". If you have a better plan to accomplish this, go ahead.

    LOL. Try again.

    They will kill him anyway.

    • He is town.
    • We know he is town.
    • He can kill people every other day.

If that is not enough for scum to get rid of him, we need better scum.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2y8Sx4B2Sk

    I am sure you did.

You really require an answer to that?

    Really?

Just go back and read the entire thread.

For the record, I still am not completely convinced you are scum, just stupid. And if someone comes along who seems scummy I will change my vote to them. But if that doesn't happen, you got to go my friend.

Although if you turn out to be the DoA, I am gonna rage.

Can't decide if dhulli is townderp or scum. He backpedaled a bit earlier after my explanation, but now he's back to his old opinion. That doesn't sound like scum, because the last thing they generally want is to attract attention. Dhulli could have faded into the background easily enough after his withdrawal, and we'd likely have found someone else to focus on before the end of the day in that case.

That, and his first posts don't seem to be written from a scum point of view. Scum want as many roleclaims as possible so that their job of banishing people is easier in the long run, and dhulli's argument was essentially to prevent Para being banished later in the game.

I'm going to keep my vote on him for now, but let's not make him our sole focus for the rest of the day.

As well as that, I have a plan. I'm working out the kinks on it, but it looks to be a good one that could townfirm a bunch of people without letting scum know their roles.
