I hadn't even considered that. But what would the actual plan for them be? I can't spot a major flaw with what Aekiel said at the moment.

Uh, how about a list?

Goneril can self lynch, Regan can self hit, Cornwall can self conf, Albany can't self protect, Kent can't self gift, Bastard can self betray, gentleman can't self challenge, doctor can self heal, scum can self target, KoF can self target, scum can self banish.

Uh not all of these are good options though, just possible.

As Lungs said, I was in Gnarnia, where I lost my phone, and was thus unable to even check DLP and realize this started.

Anyway, there's a whole lot of crap in this, and for some reason dhulli is posting things in pink, I mean, like, that is totally my color, bro, my avatar/signature combo has been rocking it for ages. So back off, cunt.

Anyway, I started reading this thread in depth then I reached the dhulli debacle, and I skimmed to this point. I'm gonna go out to dinner, but I'm home with my computer now, so I'll read this gigantic clusterfuck later.

If anyone feels like summarizing things from their opinion or asking me a few questions, that'd be cool too.

Mods, how does Cordelia's "decisive lynch" works? Does she need to post a lynch vote to the post or just her QT? Does it take effect immediately like a non-deadline lynch?

Exhibit A. Jack is High King. Matt is the last person to give the deadline to kill Jack. Keith is Cordelia. Keith gets to kill Matt.

Exhibit B. Jack is High King. Matt is handed a knife in the morning. He puts it through Jack's skull. Keith is Cordelia. Keith gets to kill Matt.

Exhibit C. Jack is High King. Matt is handed a poisoned knife at nightfall. He puts it through Jack's skull. Keith is Cordelia. He doesn't know who Matt is. Keith gets to kill Matt.

Well, that plan just about took all the fun out of mafia for me. Dismally boring. I can't see a flaw in it, not really anything to say....

 

I have this nagging feeling that we are missing something and this plan will blow up in our faces.

 

I have to agree, which is kind of ironic seeing that I spent at least a couple of hours on it and on possible consequent scenarios. I'm not above exploiting the mechanics to win, but I would have very much preferred if that hadn't been an option to begin with.

Anyway, here is my final version of the plan. The biggest change is... the Bastard doesn't reply to the letters. The other version is not bad, but it's more risky, IMO. With this one, almost everything would have to go scum way for them to win. I'm talking about a mix of luck and competence that is really, really, really unlikely. Unless I'm missing stuff, of course. Help me out there.

1) The Bastard roleclaims.
2) The Duke of Albany protects him.
3) We don’t lynch.

Night 1
1) Someone is night killed.

16 players alive – 1 dead (unknown) – 2-3 Townfirmed (Bastard, Para and Nemrut)

Day 2
1) The Duke of Albany protects the Bastard.
2) The Tenant claims and we lynch him. Everyone has night protection.

Night 2
1) There’s only the night 1 scum-target in Purgatory and he can easily revive himself (watch out for wine and scum doing that).
2) No one dies.

16 players alive: 12 town – 4 scum – 2-3 Townfirmed (Bastard, Para and Nemrut) – 1 dead (townfirmed!Tenant)

Day 3
1) The Duke of Albany protects the Bastard.
2) We don’t lynch.
3) The Tenant is likely banished by Cordelia’s one-shot alive banishment (now or in the night).

Night 3
1) Goneril and Regan send the letters. We decide beforehand which one gets to make up the code for the Dirty Steward. The Bastard doesn’t reply. He and the Legitimate son know who Regan and Goneril are. The Dirty Steward knows the Bastard, Regan and Goneril and knows the code that can townfirm him to the Bastard, Goneril/Regan and the Legitimate son.
2) The Tenant is likely banished by Cordelia’s one-shot alive banishment (now or during the previous day).
4) Someone dies to the scum night-kill.
5) Someone else dies if the King of France decides to use his token kill.
7) The Earl of Kent gives a public-daykill knife to the Bastard.
8) The Herald prepares his Trumpeter roleclaim for the next day.
9) The Glouchester prepares his Blind Man Who Sees roleclaim for the next day.

14 players alive – 10 town – 4 scum – 2 dead (99% town and the Herald would confirm this) – 1 banished

Day 4:
1) Everyone posts random stuff to make the Dirty Steward blend in when he uses his code (which should be random stuff, too, in this example scenario).

2) Everyone roleclaims and everyone who can rolefirms except for Nemrut, Para, Goneril, Regan, the Dirty Steward and the Legitimate son, who get townfirmed by the Bastard without having their roles disclosed.

3) We kill the not townfirmed with whatever we have!


There's only one possible town line-up that gives scum a chance to win and it's a very small chance at that (they have to hit all the right roles, we have to miss on all the fakeclaims, then hit the wrong scum with the wrong powers, and finally Purgatory has to fuck up).
