The plan looks fine to me. Let us wait for everyone to have a read and post their thoughts, then we go ahead with it.

    Why not both?

The Steward can try and adhere to both the codes or just any one that would seem subtle enough to him. If he is able to manage both he can confirm himself to both Regan and Goneril.

Also, highly unlikely but if someone else accidentally follows the same code things might get confusing. So having two separate ones would help. (At least two the LS and the bastard since they would know both the codes.)

I just checked, and yes, that is just about the only way to lose for town. Scums must be flippin mad now. Also, why not add on Cornwell Reveal everyday to the plan since it will tell us that Cornwell is alive and well, until the reveals abruptly stops.

Good work, Stojil. Looks like we've got this one in the bag. On day one.

So, we SHOULD get on with the plan right? Day doesn't last forever.

    In that case.

    I am the Bastard.

If the Duke of Albany would protect me, that would be swell.

I think we could do something like deciding to use all our first posts of day 4 with two random lines.

Or anything that comes in your mind, really, paying attention not to make the two sentences match somehow, since we would all be faking having received them from two different, not connected brains. We do a round of this, as the Steward blends in with the lines Goneril and Regan (one for each) have put for him in their letters. At that point, he's townfirmed to the Bastard, who is the one that has to come forward and "clear" as town all the others without specifying their roles.

    Then everyone roleclaims.

    Then we win.

    Hopefully.

Duke, please wait until the end of day before using your power, or tell Lungs you want it to activate right before the beginning of night (it should work that way, too). Let's not take any chances, although at the moment I doubt that Aekiel is fakeclaiming.

I've looked over the plan another half dozen times and I really can't see any reason, other than someone seriously messing up, for it not to work.

    Number of posts so far.

sP is town, but still I would like to hear from him on this plan.

The guys with 2-4 posts: it wouldn't be a bad idea to share your thoughts a little more.

Kensington hasn't posted at all. That doesn't make him scum. My main problem is that under the very very small chance that he is the DoA (or any other important role we are or will be counting on), our plan falls apart.

Can the mods check in with him and replace him if required?

  9. Everything about it looks fine to me?

I'm not the best at planning in hunts. I kind of sit by and twiddle my thumbs. I always much preferred hunting.

Well, there's not much point, is there? I have a few people who I'd like to take a closer look at, but we aren't lynching anyone. I'm still not sure about the plan, but it's in motion. Everything you'd usually do is irrelevant.

In fact, it's on the Mafia to initiate discussion. We are just going ahead with the plan. And if Mafia doesn't want to do anything either, we can just as well skip the days, since nothing will happen anyway.

We shouldn't count our chicks before they hatch. Scums might just have a tremendous stroke of luck and destroy our plan >_> which then I wonder if we have a back up plan.

So with this and Ash's post in mind.. why are we bothering? This plan really comes down to an extended mass RR. Why not just do it now and get it over with? We have the full role list, a fuckton of town roles that are easily confirmable and scum have zero mechanics to counter.

There are zero ways for scum to destroy this plan. They just don't have enough time to get The Bastard before the letters are sent. The best they can hope for is to delay it slightly by getting Goneril/Regan on Nights 1/3.

The thing is, even if scum do pull out a miracle and magically stop the plan, we would still be in the same sort of position we'd be normally. We could just play it the normal way, and still have a chance. We don't need a back up plan.

You heard me. This isn't mafia. Its Clue. You don't need to be clever, you don't even need to be that smart. Its just sitting around a table until the mechanics resolve the game for you.

There's no reason to post anything. By my count, by Day 4, 11 of the 13 town roles can be completely confirmed. Then its just a numbers game winning by the end of Day 8 at the latest.

Why bother waiting? Mass role claim, kill the spares and move onto a better designed game.

By massroleclaiming right now we would hand the game to scum. Most roles can't be townfirmed right now. Your offer doesn't make sense.

Once again, you put us all in the position to think you're either being retarded or scum.

Not really sure if this game should even go on. I have nothing to do or say.

Yes, I must be retarded (or scum) for wanting to play mafia. I was all for the plan when I first looked at it as it is incredibly mechanically sound. But I slept on it and you know what? Fuck it. Its an easy win but it'd also be the least fun game of mafia I'd ever played and I was scum in Dresden.

You're right though, not everyone that can be confirmed is confirmable Day 1. We'd have 4 sets of conflicting claims but so what? Mafia is supposed to be about thinking and figuring shit out.

Do what you want Stojil but I see zero point in playing a game where your win is guaranteed.

I agree with 99% of what you wrote there. Obviously, the bolded part is not true (and the conflicting claims at this point are more than 4, but that's beside the point).

If your problem is that town has already won, then hold your horses because it hasn't.

If your problem is that the game has turned into something only vaguely resembling mafia, then you're right and I don't like it either.

If you say there's a way for town to lose this then I'll take your word for it. But honestly not seeing it outside of the old scum does everything right/town does everything wrong talking point.
