Damn! I didn't even think of that. Now I want to go back to the bookstore and read the new bits of Cold Days again before finally re-reading Ghost Story.

    So basically...
ROFL, well done Taure. And yeah, Final Fantasy was the first thing I thought of too. I am really liking this new version of Cat Sith -- sort of like evil!Mouse that can talk in a way.

Okay, having read the exerpt, I have to say that yes, it does change the way you read Ghost Story because

the book is now physically longer. And I really like fucking with the guys who won't read spoillers. This is too much much fun. Nice job, Taure.

On the other hand, if you take into account that

some people will read these anyway,

it really doesn't make much difference.

    However, remembering that Mab

is a character that everyone wants to read about, and that just mentioning her will pique people's curiosity, you'll probably end up witha few people reading these and hating us. But that's more their problem, isn't it? I could really end this with any words I want to, couldn't I? Such as,

"will likely get her killed." Not very encouraging.

    You guys are right,
This is fun, but it's even more fun when you put coloured text in the spoiler and become the motherfucking king of the Trolls and make Ellisande shit his pants in rage. xD

    But I really like

throwing in a random smiley to confuse him :colbert:

    Honestly, I'm afraid that

One of these is going to be a genuine spoiler. But this is amusing enough to follow anyway.
Vaguely worrisome, and doesn't bode well for Harry's freedom.

Release date and cover art for Cold Days, anyone? Also contains cover blurb, if anyone considers that a spoiler.

His hand doesn't look scarred on the cover, I wonder if all his old wounds have fully healed, it would seem likely.

Yes, I know cover art has nothing to do with the plot.

Man, I keep hoping the intervening time between Dresden books will get shorter again, but it just keeps getting longer. :(

I miss Butcher back when he had to worry about a Mortgage.

Uhh not necessarily, this sounds about like the schedule that he had when he was writing Dresden and Alera. One in the late spring the other mid fall to early winter.

Keep in mind, we have several Dresden short stories in the works, that will come out after Cold Days. So even if we have a long wait, there be little tastes here in there.

Just a reminder here, that we've had 2 Dresden Shorts recently come out with a 3rd on the way by the end of the month (all are about Bigfoot in some way or other).

Yeah you could be right. I was originally interpreting his statement to mean he would have his steampunk novel completed by December 2013, and then start the next Dresden novel.

But now that you mention it, it could also mean he'll have the Steampunk novel done by December THIS year, and commence the Dresden novel Jan 2013.

By "year's end" I assumed this year, since he's going to start writing once the Cold Days revisions are done. Considering everyone has been speculating a Halloween/Fall 2012 release date for Cold Days, I'd think revisions would be complete pretty soon.
