It's the first thing I see when I went into the Harry Potter section on ff.net.

This made me gag. Draco Malfoy being abused and raped by the Death Eaters because he refuses the Dark Mark, then Harry comes in and ZOMG! saves him...and kisses him...and runs his hand through his oh-so-beautiful platinum blonde hair...The best thing was that Harry slipped him a poison at the end...out of love?

 

Any fic out there that is :

- Abandoned.
- On hiatus (a common mispelling of 'abandoned')
- Still listed as a WIP a year after the last update.

It doesn't matter how bloody good a fic is, unfinished fics give me the shits.

Once again, the summary made me cry tears of blood...THE SUMMARY! This is what happens when people try to be original! Things like this...this...monstrosity are created! I don't believe it! Fucking bandcamp? WTF?

That reminds me of the best story that could probably exist on ff.net. Of course, it's a troll, even the omgosh!emo!chick author, and most of the reviewers are either clueless about its parody nature or roleplaying as HP characters, but still... 2402 flames, dozens of sites bashing the story...mhm, enjoy.

Well, I got through about one or two sentences of that story and then closed the window. Aweful shit, thats for sure. Nice find.

 

I saw " Damnit Sirius, why did you have to die." STRIKE 1

Then I saw " He had just had a nightmare about Sirius falling through the veil, while he watched screaming as Remus held him back from following through the veil of death after him. Guilt overwhelmed him." STRIKE 2

Then I stumbled upon " I'm sorry Sirius I wasn't strong enough. This all led back to one thing he thought, Dumbledore! STRIKE 3 YOU"RE OUT!

 

All right, I think I need to clarify something - I think I may have misunderstood the definition of "awesomely bad" used for this thread.

I had thought awesomely bad referred to fics that could be enjoyable to read, but were far from the best. In that vein, the fics I mentioned are not "bad" at all, but not great with qualities that make reading possibly fun.

Additionally, I guess my question becomes: what is the difference between the "unrecommended" and the "awesomely bad" threads?

Awesomely bad is self-explanatory. It's stories that just suck so much that we have to share them. Unrecommended are stories that aren't good, but not awesomely bad.

Me too. I cannot stand Emo!Harry, and all the whiny bullshit that the author of those types of stories has him say and do. Now, Emo-Basher!Harry, on the other hand, that can be quite fun.

 

I could only understand an EMO!Harry if all of the following happens: Sirius rapes and impregnates Harry, Snape rapes and imprenates Harry, Ginny rapes and imprenates Harry, Fawkes is his mother, Voldemort is his brother, Dumbledore is his dad, and every said person dies a horrible, horrible death (preferably something that happens in your typical Fangirl story, i.e. slash-related STDs). Then and only then can I understand an Emo!Harry. But he's gotta commit suicide afterwards cause the only place that story could go from there is downhill.
