It would be beneficial to only have one DLP guild. We would be stronger united.

It all depends on connection speed.

AFAIK, that's the population of reddit users on each server.

It's not necessarily representative of what the relative server populations are going to be on launch.

Also, low reddit population is a plus in my book. :p

That said, nothing is written in stone. If we want to change the server to one with more population or WvW presence that's fine. Just keep in mind that there's no guarantee that this survey is accurate or unbiased.

Decided to pick this up. No idea how regularly I'll be able to play, but I'll still join the guild if you'll have me. Haven't decided on a class, but I'll probably start out as an elementalist or ranger (race TBD).

So apparently there's going to be a stress test tomorrow. Link.

That link is broken. But I see that you are currently editing, so you must already know that.

    :/

Won't be able to test stuff out, unfortunately, except for maybe a few minutes right before it ends. Why must they schedule these things in the middle of a weekday?

Well, that should probably be in the General GW2 Thread. Aside from that though, @coleam, I would imagine that it's because that's when they are at work themselves:p. Besides, it's just a downside to being in a US timezone, I suppose.

I hope to see everyone on Borliss Pass, at least to start out. Everything I've seen concerning latency has made the issues seem pretty mild. Would be great if we could all start out together and then, if needed, the Euro folks could break away for their own server.

Maybe I am the last one but I just realized that even if we europeans were to play on an american server, the time difference (seven-eight hours, if I recall correctly) would clash too much to really play together. Maybe, even if the lag is bearable, wouldn't it be more convenient to have an EU guild?

Still, for the purpose of this stress test, am on the US server, just to try it out.

Of course, you assume that said players actually have lives that will affect time difference. :)

Eh, my current schedule after classes, pending employment, has me available to get on as early as noon to one o'clock US Mountain Time. So... around 8p.m. in England, I think?

Yeah, it shouldn't be too much of an issue---planning on rolling on Borlis Pass as well.

Afternoon U.S. crowd can play with the Late Night EU crowd, Late Night U.S. /w Morning EU, etc. The timing works out pretty well, it's when you're outside of the U.S. and EU where problems tend to crop up.

I may end up playing this with my brother now mainly, depending on if he gets it at launch. Could maybe still join the guild, not too sure.

I've got Family who'll be playing this, may end up being dragged onto their server. >.>

Goddamn their choice to make you only have one server. =.=

I'm fine with playing on the US server, unless the latency proves a huge disadvantage.

Rolling on Borlis Pass during the Stress Test to see what the latency's like; anybody that's on holla at me.
