I thought I'd make a thread for fanfics that are hard to get hold of, because they're not publicly archived. People can request them here, and also advertise the ones they have.

I have Stained Future's Master Assassin and Slytherin's Revenge. Both of them terrible, of course. But hilarious, and good for nostalgia. A bit of DLP history.

I also have Soul Play by Snapesforte. In my opinion, still one of the top 10 fanfics of all time, and probably in the top three for quality of writing. Snape centric post-HBP fic, very noir feel.

Also have some of Shezza's old stuff. His Stargate crossover and Future Remapped. Can't find that crossover he wrote with the text based RPG. Not sure how Shezza feels about them being shared - feel free to chip in, Shezza.

And, of course, Joe's Knowledge is Power (no, the other Joe).

I also have access to the HP Recycling Bin Yahoo Group, which has a decent archive of old fics that aren't easy to get hold of.

 

Any semi-decent (or bad, for humour) Fleur, Tonks, Katie, or Daphne / Harry pairings in that Yahoo?

 

So what is Joe's Knowledge is Power? I might be interested in reading it if it is finished.

 

It is a guilty pleasure fic. Not complete involves decent OC's and a slightly older Harry in a Neville is the BWL timeline. It's 33 chapters long? I think it's a decent if not an enjoyable read.

 

The only fics I'm curious about are Master Eldyran's old stuff. But he removed them all because people were passing around his fics without his permission. So moral grounds on that one feels kind of iffy.

I do wonder if they're still floating around.

 

It's not finished. It was abandoned, but it's over 300k words IIRC.

It's a story about a genius Harry (think Santi's BWL, but not written as well) who isn't the Boy Who Lived and who's been aged up to be in Fred and George's year group. A couple of decent OCs, some good Quidditch scenes, some good long term developments.

Harry's kinda a dick, though.

Hmm. Rereading it, the writing isn't quite as amazing as I remember, but still definitely worth a read.

 

I thought it was the epitome of Gary Stu and seeded a few even worse stories. The friendly vampire mentors in france I think really killed it for me.

Has anybody here collected Wicca Wizard? It wasn't great but it was unique and the writer killed it from FF some time ago.

 

Zimo had one I forget the name of, but it was an AU fic with Ginny as the main character. She was a cop or reporter or something, I don't remember well. Harry was a gypsy, and ultimately it turned out that he was a god from Irish mythology or something. It was really good, but she abandoned it and took it down a few years back.

Does anyone even have the name of that one?

Also, if this for rare HP fanfiction specifically, or rare fanfiction in general?

 

As far as T3t, (Taure?), and I can tell, the sequel to Harry Potter and the Fall of Childhood, called Harry Potter and the Winter of the Soul was incomplete when pulled from all sources, anyone who has that would be very appreciated,.

 

Here's a copy of what I have saved, I'm pretty sure it's everything that was released. Just a heads up though the files are MHTML (should be easy enough to convert to HTML if you want).

Does anyone have anything by fosfor/case13? I'm trying to get a hold of a copy of Red Codex. It was a Star Wars crossover which had Harry becoming a Sith by watching the movies (I think). I also would love to be able to get a hold of another crossover by the same author which I can't remember the name of. I know that it was a Prince of Persia crossover but, the only thing I can really remember of it was that Hogwarts had a fencing club which Harry joined. I've managed to snag a copy of most of his other stuff but these two have eluded me.

 

I'd be interested in Case13/Fosfor's Ichimaru Gin!Naruto story. He has another one that has Naruto using Urahara's sword, but I felt the writing was better in the Gin!Naruto story.

 

Does anyone have the 'ygroup' chapters of Stranger in a Promised Land?
