New ranked rewards and rating. Anyone here care? I know I want to grind some elo out, but I'm stuck at mom's which has no internet waiting for my $50 headset.

Meh. I still won't be getting gold for the Janna skin, even if it's only 1500 (or 1450 on EUNE) instead of 1520 now.

It's like 6 games to get gold. REAAAALLLY shouldn't let that be a threshold for a skin.

Only if you don't get terrible people in your games. Which most people do.

If those games are placement matches, yeah, you can probably get there in ten games. If you can win them all. Placement matches are an absolute lottery where matches are decided by which team has the least trolls and leavers.

Has anyone else found the new champ to just be generally underwhelming? She's interesting to play but the burst just doesn't seem to be there to compensate for how squishy she is/her hit-and-miss CC.

Dunno, I played her once so far in Dominion and she crushed the hell out of my team.

If anyone could figure out how to use her, she would be more op than pre-patch Zyra.

Meh. She needs prep time to be at max effeciency and thats only realistic in laning and dragon/baron fights. Then there's the wonky hit box on her stun..

I played with a Syndra three times yesterday, once against one and twice with a buddy in a 5-man premade. All three times, their damage was almost non-existent and for them to get kills they needed one of the other 4 of us to do most of the damage.

Underwhelming is one word for her. I'd go with underpowered. Either that, or her skill-ceiling is so incredibly high that she's like Orianna, where most people are mediocre to decent with her, but an actually good one is terrifying.

I'm gonna go with Orianna. She's going to be a real terror once people learn her.

All the Derplords came out yesterday. Half the games I played I would bet real money that my team wasn't even trying to win.

    Here's the worst three:

Game 1 despite numerous MIA calls from mid, my opponent Eve at level 2 roamed bot and top securing three kills for their team, then returned to lane to own my face. We lost, and people called me bad for having to lane against a fed Eve and losing.

Game 2 the team that never engaged. A whole team of bruisers on their team, vs. A standard team for us. We never once initiated a fight. And still lost.

Game 3 11/0 LeBlanc at 20 minutes in. We won this one because I had Abyssal, Raba, Spec Shoes, WOTA, FoN, and DFG at the end of game. When we had a teamfight, I was able to ghost graves, DFG him, then E to kill him, hitting LB with the E and my Q plus W damage killing her. Turning the teamfight to a 3v6, and then I could let the AD clean up because I was probably dead by then unless the graves ghost had finished killing their support -who absolutely melted always- and taking the fight to a 4v2.

For the record, I think that Eve is broken. No one knows how to counter her, and her map pressure is unreal. She threatens other lanes even when she is out of vision in mid, because wards won't see her. AP eve can just melt anyone with her Q, and once she gets a DFG (which if she is any good she can get quickly because of ganks) she becomes a glass cannom that you can't see until it is primed.

The last 2 games I played against her in mid I had about 2-3 times as much CS, taking into account a kill is worth 22 CS in the early game, and she could still 100-0 me in lane, two levels below me.

Countering Eve is actually pretty easy, but nobody bothers to do it because they don't respect her yet.

She's a piss weak early game laner, so harass her. Constantly. Bully her. Zone her out of minions, there's literally not a god damn thing she can do to stop you. Buy a pink ward and stick it in the lane so you can knock her out of stealth and stop her regenerating mana. Push the lane hard and you'll force her to either stay in lane taking harassment and being your bitch, or give you a free turret when she wanders off to gank. Stacking health does nothing because her burst is percentage based, but buying early magic resistance ruins her damage and stops her getting fed enough to buy all the penetration she needs. If top and bot are still dying to ganks, they need to man the fuck up and buy a pink ward.

Pretty much any other assassin in the game can do similar burst, and they can do it much safer than Eve can. Her only advantages are being able to bypass sight wards and being able to take advantage of people still stuck in the mindset that Eve is a trash tier champion who can't do anything.

She roamed early and secured kills. Can't zone her out of kills. I actually almost took tower she was gone so long.

Good Eves don't get zoned out easily because they actually have defensive runes and masteries early and know how to last-hit with hate spike. You're more likely to oom yourself than force Eve to back.

They also bypass vision wards easily and don't give a fuck about Mres. The best Eves rush Void Staff after DFG if they see any MRes over 70. Statistically, Void provides 5% more damage than DCap as a rush item if they have over 70 MRes, counting Sorc Shoes and Runes.

Last night, I still took out 1/2 of a Ryze's HP in a burst without using ulti and this was when I had only 1 kill, no DFG, 3/4 his CS, and him rushing an early Negatron.

Also would neuter the enemy Shen, Naut, and Alsitar despite them popping every single defense. This was when I only had DFG and Sorc shoes.

He's correct. But all this proves is that....

AP Eve is OP as shit, and needs nerfing.

Her %of health ult does too much damage combined with the strength of the shield it gives her. They need to tone it (and DFG) down quite a bit.

    Build MRes you say?

Why, they just build MPen! (Which also happens to itemize for AP in all cases except Sorc Shoes, which are seen as standard anyway.)

=,= To be honest, I stopped playing AP Eve because I felt dirty abusing such an obviously overpowered champion.

Same reason I never played Darius after trying him out on the PBE after his release. He's OP and needs serious nerfs. Until he gets them, people who play him (and AP Eve) lose a ton of respect.

I need a new general mid. Mordekaiser isn't working in the common comps at 1100, where they used to. Basically no one is picking up any CC in my teams, so I need to pick up a new champ. I'm picking between Gragas and Ryze. Right now I have Mordekaiser, Swain, and Veigar.

    Also getting Jayce soon.

P.s. reign of the derps continues.

All three of those choices are easily counterable.

Pick up Zyra, Lux, Morgana, Ezreal or Gragas.

Ryze is not a safe choice in lane, he's got a very weak early game, no natural escapes/mobility, short range, (Whereas most AP mids are Strong early game) and is very susceptible to ganks against anyone with a good gapcloser/CC. Whch is most popular junglers these days.

After his range nerfs he's not nearly as powerful as he was before. A good Ryze is still a terror, but I wouldn't pick him up and start using him in Ranked without knowing him very well.

Secondly, Ryze is meant to build for the lategame. Depending on your teammates to make it TO the lategame is not smart at any level below Gold Rank, I'd say.

Same reason I don't do it. I'm stuck around that area as well.

That'd be why I need a general pick.

As for the second part, I've got some weird mental block on girl characters. I hate playing as a girl. I never do it if I cam help it. I feel kind of quesy when I do.

AP Ez in pubs? Maybe ill try him on dominion and see how it feels, since I already have him. Honestly though, I can't skillshot for shit. It'll be good practice. Gragas looks better as I research him though, I love strong farm/sustain champs.
