Looking for the skin? Play Gragas!

Honestly, from my perspective you aren't comparing similar champions. When I face an Ahri or a Zyra, I have completely different priorities. Do both have a strong wave clear, a powerful ult, and a CC? Sure. That doesn't mean they serve the same purpose.

When I play against Zyra, i'm afraid of her picking someone off and initiating for her team.

When I play against Ahri, i'm afraid of her penetrating our front line, killing our ADC, then leaving.

Those seem to be two different purposes to me.

I say Eve. Gank all day from lvl 6 on, even if they warded. DFG + Ulti to wipe someone off the face of the map and snowball lanes.

She also can go toe to toe with most mid champs anyways, if she has defensive runes. If it's a mana champ, they're more likely to burn all their mana before you burn all 3 HP pots.

Not sure if I like the changes to the Tribunal system or not coming with the latest patch that'll go live before the season championships. Removing the IP reward will have a positive and negative effect, but I don't think it'll get rid of the people that just spam 'Punish' without going over the cases.

Having only recently started paying attention to and using the tribunal myself, I'm a little put out by the removal of IP rewards as I haven't had my reward for the first cases I did some 2 weeks ago now (expected as they take 2- 3 weeks anyway), though I'm not expecting much beyond maybe 200 - 300 IP max, and that would be for probably 60 - 70% correct cases. That said, I took to the tribunal to actually see just how bad some other people have it when it comes to trolling, stupidity and general abuse and to try and better the community.

Still, I guess we'll see if it works in the long run. Outside of that, changes to champions I'm mostly ok with them, especially with regards to Yorick and Ziggs. That said, I still don't think we'll see a single Ziggs, Caitlyn or Miss Fortune at the season finals unless someone runs a poke comp. Outside of that, only a very minor nerf to Jayce with regards to a mana cost increase on his E in hammer form.

Not sure if it was really completely necessary. Jayce is super strong 1v1, but I feel he doesn't add much to a teamfight besides his gate which you can grab a shurelyas for.
It really doesn't matter either way because his mana costs are so low anyway, I don't think this nerf will really affect him that much.

It'll mainly help his top harass. Most of the good Jayces level up E first, along with spamming E to travel faster and it being an integral part of his harass combo. This will help lower the frequency he can do it against his counter picks.

His utility is in his AOE slow and huge poke game combined with a decent execute. I don't think any other character can get 2.5 atk spd for a bit while building pure damage adn defense.

I play Jayce fairly frequently, and you're right that he doesn't do much for actual teamfights besides adding mobility and the ability to either dive someone or peel for someone else.

However, in a 1v1 situation he is indeed incredibly strong. I'd rank him as the most versatile Top Lane Bruiser right now, meaning he's very hard to truly shut down or even just hold even against, because he can do so many things.

But I think you're disregarding the AMOUNT of Mobility he brings. His gate is 10% more effective at max level and has a cooldown that is 1/6th that of Shurelyia's.

Jayce Alone, assuming everyone is grouped, is worth roughly, six shurelyia's

Six. Fucking. Shurelyia's. The Asian regions have been abusing the fuck out of his mobility as of late, it's so powerful and versatile that Support Jayce has become a thing over there.

Which is, honestly, how I play him lategame. Early game I win my lane and shut down the enemy, but lategame I transition into enabling my teammates and denying/peeling my enemies, not so much trying to get kills/carry.

Lots of people cry for Nerfs on Jayce, but what few people realize is that to play him to his max potential requires a LOT of skill and practice. He's fairly easy to pick up and do okay with, but to be that versatile monster so many claim that ALL Jayces are requires a hell of a lot more than what most people are willing to put into him.

Jayce is Balanced. He's strong, but he's balanced. He's an early game dominant character who basically becomes a supportish/tankish hybrid lategame, when played correctly.

AD Carry Jayce is not viable. His incredibly short range (outside of EQ combo) keeps it from being so. He's too easily focused down to be an AD Carry.

He does pretty well in a poke comp, too, but his E/Q Combo means he has to signal you before it happens, which people will get better at dodging/predicting as time goes on.

No, this nerf is aimed specifically at his Q/E Melee form combo. Since E is almost always what those people max first, the increasing mana cost keeps him from being able to spam the combo as freely as he could before.

He's still not exactly mana /hungry/. But it's not nearly the room for error that you had before, when it comes to your mana pool.

Using his AOE slow for utility in a teamfight means you have to dive INTO the teamfight. If you've built pure damage, that means you are squishy as hell. It's good in skirmishes and such, but in full on teamfights that's just asking to get focused down quickly.

Evan: You're right, no other character can reach 2.5 attack speed for a bit without building some AS items. However, 'a bit' is misleading. His AS upgrade is for Three. Shots. Just three, not three seconds, not two, not four, three shots. And it only lasts for a bit before wearing away, so it can be wasted.

When you have an IE after whatever your first defensive item is, those 3 shots hurt.

This is from a Dom standpoint. In SR, the fights are much more "all in" and I build him much more standard bruiser, though I make ti a point to grab IE somewhere.

For Dom, I can afford to rush that IE because the raw damage from that poke makes people back off as-is. Since Dom's mainly a series of skirmishes, poking out someone before diving in to kill isn't a problem, especially when the poke can potentially halve someone's HP.

Jayce is actually a mandatory perma-ban because of that combined with speed and execute.

His mobility is great, but I'd rather have a malphite than a walking shurelyas, which is what most Jayces become if they don't win their lane. I love Jayce and play him as my main top now though, but I think his role is to shut down top, then split push in the mid game. Between ranged W and hammer form magic damage, he kills towers very quickly, while gate lets him yi charge away. Late game he has the same job as any other bruiser, but you can play him damage heavy (maw/fratmas) instead of metagolem (although that works too).

And why do people say that Jayce's skillshot is easy to dodge? It's like the fastest thing in the world. You aren't using gate first are you?

Around half the Jayce players I get matched with don't use Acceleration Gate at all, with most of the others using it first. It makes me sad.

I mean, even if you don't have the coordination to shoot Q first, it's not like it's hard to hit with anyway. I have a friend who hates smartcasing and he just lays down e, then plays it like any other skillshot. It's no different trying to land a blitz hook except its faster and easier to fire. Lay down the E and wait for them to try to juke, then fire.

The only way it's easy to dodge is if you make it easy to dodge, it has like 1100 range.

And CLG.prime has continued its stomp of TD where they destroyed them in one show match last night 3-0, and have now another showmatch with them tonight.

First game they won, 20k gold up at ~25 minutes.

Game two they won up by 23k gold in 23 (51k gold the fuck?!) minutes, and Doublelift just 1v4'd them as Ez.

    This is complete domination.

I'm so happy CLG.prime is back to competitive form, their gaming house with CLG.eu is really helping them out.

Rengar buffer then nerfed. I still think he is good, but I haven't tried out his new few yet. Even still, I barely ever expected to use a skill twice (excluding the ferocity reset) in a 10 second period. Maybe the magic AoE damage might matter for clearing wraiths, but otherwise I think he will still be strong.

Though tbh, to gank as Rengar you still need to sneak in lane and gank that way. Otherwise you will never get a kill unless they are in the bush themselves.

The problem is that the PBE Syndra was already nerfed Syndra.

She's still a far cry from how she was on first demo play in that tournament event.

Also, Kha'Zix deadliest bastard ever to 1v1 without anyone nearby. Roflstomps people hard with Q evo.

Rawr! Most damage dealt and taken(for my team, GP did take a bit more damage than me), and most importantly... Largest Multi Kill = 5 :awesome.
My first kill was a Flash->Q->E at level 4 against Kassadin in mid who apparently decided to farm just a few more minions at under 100 health before recalling :facepalm.

    This game I went:
    Philo-> HoG-> Merc Treads-> RoA-> Warmog's-> Deathcap-> GA-> Rylai's
Generally I get a FoN, and late-game if at all possible, swap boots for Deathcap, but I was doing so well that I just got a Deathcap early, and never ended up getting(or needing) that FoN.

Surprisingly, I have found that Mid Kha rushing Manamune, maxing W, and first Evo W is pretty damn strong.

Yeah yeah, his lvl 1-3 kind blows, but after that he can safely farm while taking minimal harass. His lvl 6, with W Evo, raises his damage so much, it's not even funny. +65 base damage on top of preexisting 195 base with whatever AD you have lets you wave clear easily.

The harass also gets stupid-strong as you keep leveling. At rnak 5, your W wave clears an easy 320 on base damage alone, letting you basically one-shot casters. The poke hurts too and you can do it fairly frequently from a safe distance.

I stacked up some CDR on him and wave just out-right nuking people down from a distance.

WER Evos in that order let me go around ganking easily and have strong AOE in team-fights. If a poke was really going to last a while, I could even chain W pokes with R charges to drop the enemy team by over 1k HP with sustained fire over the duration.

Sad thing about that match was my stupid bot and jungle kept feeding. Both ended at 13 freaking deaths. At once point, the Soraka at bot died so much, she was lvl 2 when the enemy hit 5.

Has anyone tried Promote in ranked matches?
I really like the idea behind using it to push a sidelane while you pressure mid or an objective, but I don't really see it panning out in a solo queue.

In solo you're going to get labelled a troll unless you get some serious commitment to split pushing. In Duo or premade it'd be much more viable.
