They showed that headsmack in the recap as well, God they just need to stop.

Pope is full of shit. He sits with judges and runs the black crews and he's risking himself for 50K a month? He's definitely running game. I wouldn't mind if he was doing it through a lackey but he complains about being exposed and yet goes to deal with Jax personally when there's no justification for him being there. IMO he's going to kill everyone, he just wants to make them suffer first.

Jimmy Smits is ending up so dead. Lol at his Madame's "It's on now bitch' face.

Gemma needs to die. I don't know what it is. She was always terrible, but now I legitimately can't stand her.

Apparently the guys beating Ope in decided to no longer mess with his face, just to be courteous.

I have to completely disagree with you about Pope.

He wanted to keep a low profile at murder scenes. Prison, in an office is pretty hush hush. Especially when nobody is going to die in there. As for the money, clearly he doesn't need it but his daughter was killed for no reason. I'm taking those asshole to the wash too. Let's take half their earnings, kill a handful of their club and he's got another crew in his pocket. If that's the game youre talking about then I agree but it is the obvious thing with such a ruthless pragmatic mob boss like Pope.

And I don't think Smits is going anywhere. They're setting him up long term. If anything Clay will eat it soon. I'm 50/50 on Gemma. That might just be too many character deaths.

Have to say, Damon Pope is quickly turning into one of my favorite characters. I hope he sticks around for a while.

Yeah, I have to say that I'm surprised by how civil he is with Jax . He genuinely seems to like him. But I think that Clay is right, he's handing them silk rope.

Jax's decision to get Tig out was also very smart/

I totally called the ending. When he was talking to Unser, I knew he was behind it. I don't know if it's just me misremembering, but this show seems to be becoming more violent. The scenes are just more... intense is the word that comes to mind.

Also, I agree on Pope. He is a great character.

Oh, I always thought that he was behind it I just couldn't think of any reason why he would do such a thing. And there was that shot of the biker's neck...

As for Unser, if Clay suspects him, he's fucked. He had this look on his face.

I don't think Unser is going to die. They seemed to hint that he was going to in the previews, which means they'll likely pull a swerve. Clay will probably try but be foiled somehow. I hope so anyway. There have been way too many characters killed off these last couple of seasons. As for Clay, his motive is obvious. Discredit Jax and retake control of the club that the son-in-law literally seized from him at knifepoint. The only thing that makes it a little murky is the rule of can't ride, can't lead. So Clay can't become President again.

Also, Juice is a little bitch.

If slowly losing whatever morality you had left makes you a boss, then yeah. Jax is a boss this season.

Exactly. Pope really summed it up in jail. He's doing what is necessary to survive, and even thrive in his situation. He's in a unique position where he is such a vital linchpin in so many parts of other peoples operations. And right now he is acting with enough ruthlessness and polish to come out on top.

The Sons have always been selectively moral sociopaths. All it takes is the right push for this to come out completely. Look at what Jax did to that guard and his wife, there's no self-defense argument there.

Pretty much this. Retaliation has been the name of the game from the very beginning of the series. I think Jax will finally have lost his morality if he actually goes through on selling Tig to Pope once he no longer needs the man. And I really hope he doesn't.

They tend to hide it in the same types of appeal to fraternal bounds that Vic Mackey (a character on a show that Sutter worked on) uses (i.e. "It's for Ope. For the Sons, etc.) so it seems very reasonable and slips past people but at the end of the day they're brutal bastards when they want to be.

I don't know how I feel about Jax giving up Tig. I think that if he was pushedhe'd do it but if he has time to think about it he may try to weasel out of it.

I agree. But I really think Jax has turned a page. If he keeps Tig outside then it's not only for the brotherly bond but also the permanent vote at the table.

I can't decide whether to hate Clay for being a rotten old bastard or love him for being a magnificent one.

Fucking Gemma. Wonder if the writers know that the viewers are starting to not give a shit at what happens to her.

Jax pretty much knows it's Clay, I just don't think he wants to make the same mistakes that Clay made when he punished the "guilty".

Jax has become a cold-blooded motherfucker. This episode has really driven that point home.
