In all fairness, it'd be very satisfying to see Arya kill the fuck out of all the annoying characters in A song of ice and fire.

You're entitled to your opinion, I suppose, even if it's a stupid one. Bran has got to be the most annoying character. 5 books and he has yet to contribute a damn thing. At least Arya is a total BAMF.

Oh sweet god Bran was annoying. As was Sansa. You know what? All the Stark children piss me off.

Pffffft. You guys are both stupid. Bran and his warg shenanigans are awesome. Stark women are the only annoying Starks.

Wargs? I'm still reading through his constant 'Where's mother' bitch fests.

But no, the most annoying child is fucking Joffey, that little shit needs to be skullfucked by a dementor.

No Joffey I can deal with. He's just another nobleborn kid with his own brand of fucked up to deal with on top of two exceptionally shitty parents. It's not much of an excuse but it is an explanation. Sansa is the most irritating one of the lot, rivaled only by Jon at times. Of course there are a couple of adult characters who piss me off too, -cough Catelyn cough-, but as far as the kids go Sansa definitely wins that particular race.

It might have been said somewhere on DLP I can't remember now, but the problem with the Starks is that for the most part they're wholly unsuited to the southern politics and lifestyle. There's a part somewhere (Feast I think) where they talk about how Rickard senior caused most of the families problems when he developed "Southern ambitions" because the Stark mindset can't cope with the nature of southern politics, as seen with Ned.

Anyway the point is it's easy to hate on them, and I admit this is probably my problem as well, because they seem like they don't know anything. But it's simply because they're used to dealing with their own lands where everyone is a Stark man/woman through and through and they didn't need to bother with the same sort of shit that they deal with in King's Landing. And Varys and Littlefinger are in KL as well, that was probably part of the problem.

Jon's probably my favorite character for the most part, and as the likely contender for the main/ key character in the end, I'm predisposed to liking him. But I found his indecision about the watch pretty annoying. And the thing is he makes the resolution to be a watchman again and again, and then once again the moment he hears about something going wrong with the Starks he's ready to throw it away again.

It's stupid and I know that it's a part of his character/ development, and the loyalty he has for the family says a lot about both him and Ned considering the usual behaviour of the bastard children. But at the same time it makes me wonder what the fuck the point of having his big moment of realisation/ decision to devote himself to the Watch was worth when the first time he hears about something going wrong with the Starks, he's all ready to run off being hero, ignoring the issues that he's still got to deal with at the wall.

Every damn character in that book is annoying, in my opinion. Because they're so fucking human that it almost hurts for us to read about them - you could see them as real people who would make real decisions if they were inserted into your life in some way.

But it's a good sort of annoyance. Everything about those characters makes me happy because of how fucking real they are. And real people are fucking annoying, sad, brutish, disgusting, and ultimately personal.

Some of them are like that, yeah. Ned was probably my favorite character despite his woefully short lifespan, but even he made some mistakes. Like telling Cersei he'd found her out, trusting the guy who wants to fuck his wife while also being known as a smarmy little fucker, screwing Jon's mom, etc. But some characters... It's not good annoyance with them. It's "Holy mother of god I want you to die so bad," annoyance. Like with Cersei, or Melisandre, or Joffrey.

Assuming he did screw Jon's mom.

Let's hope not. I don't think Ned and Lyanna had the same relationship as Jaime and Cersei.

Assuming Lyanna is the mother (personally I am quite convinced of this). Brandon might, if you squint at the timeline really hard, be a possibility. Or Benjen I suppose. Still yeah, Strakcest ranks up pretty high in the most unlikely parentage and general need to vomit options.
Rather curious about Aegon as well though, much potential for some major twists if he's not who he says he is.

Has there been a story where Harry uses the stone to learn from Dumbledore or Voldemort? He can summon any dead person and learn from them as long as they are willing to teach him.

I have not yet seen a story where the stone is used to summon Voldemort's shade. Wonder how he would appear. Would it be seven shades of various ages or one shade that looks stitched together?
