Anyone know anything about "I want cookie"?
Cause they are stomping M5 right now, 11-0 with 2 dragons and 2 turrets to 0 again.

 

They went on to utterly stomp them, winning after half an hour with 21 kills to 7.

As far as I know they're a pretty new team and this is probably the biggest tournament they've competed in. And while this game was impressive, they got shut down pretty hard in their previous one.

 

Shushei is their... mid?

He used to be one of the best players in league (pretty sure he was the season 1 world champs mvp, on the team that won the whole thing (fnatic)). But then the meta shifted away from the champs he was good at, and he never adapted and dragged his team down so hard that he was let go from fnatic.

He finally got back into the pro scene recently by joining I Want Cookie. Happy to see him doing good, he was a funny streamer.

 

So Shushei's returned? I'd heard rumours oddly enough on Aphromoo's stream, been out at a family dinner so if anyone has the VoD's that'd be nice, hopeing to catch the next match of oRb vs CLG NA.

 

Has anyone been playing the new TT?

I've played about ten games on it and it's been pretty fun. Though it doesn't really feel all that different to the old map. In just about every game there's been a level one team fight, that usually ends up with five of the six players dead. It seems to be just as dominated by bruisers as the old map, I've generally been stomping people with Jax.

The giant spider does lead to some hilarious teamfights though. One team tries to sneak an early one, the other team tries to stop them, the spider ends up killing all six players. It's awesome.

 

Just thought I'd mention this bug just in case anyone else noticed it or gets it. Essentially, the client lags after someone declines or is inactive on the queue list. The client, for some reason, then thinks that you are in a game, and thus won't let you re-join queue. Upon exiting the client and re-loggng, you are brought to the reconnect screen and cannot do anything more with it.

Despite the fact that this isn't exactly a new bug, I think I'll call it the "Ghost Game Bug" either way.

 

Finally getting back into playing some. Couldn't remember why I grew to hate the game as i went on a Dominion winning streak and won my first few Sr's back. Lost our first Dom game and oh yeah I remember. The players are why I stopped. Got to love a single digit kills versus mid 20's death Pantheon talking shit because my Cass was outkilling him, then deciding he'd feed the other team so they could kill me. Sigh... idiots.

 

Yeah, the community is shit. But the Honor Initiative has made SR significantly less shitty. It's still not awesome, but the shit is only ankle deep, as opposed to waist deep.

While I feel that some people are being better players simply for the sake of getting honor, I also feel that there are some people who are being better players because it makes them feel good to be honored.

And then there are the players who contribute to the community's shittiness, but your best bet there is to just report them and move on. Generally speaking, people who act like Middy's Pantheon are the sort of people who have done it in the past and will continue to do it, so there's probably a tribunal case being built against them.

 

Hopefully it'll stop when I finally hit 30 and start doing ranked... but now come to think of it, not sure if I want to play ranked. At least in nonranked if I have a bad game I don't feel like I've let everyone down. Versus just serious games we've had as a group, some of ya'll flip the fuck out, lol. Ah well, still better then the DOTA community

Lolno. More rage and dickery in one game of ranked than like 20 of normal I play ranked for the epeen stroking, not the atmosphere.

 

I have to disagree. Much Less Rage in ranked, but when the rage does happen it's more intense.

 

I find 1300-1500 was quite pleasant, with everyone offering greetings and preferred roles in the lobby.

Post 1500, it was silence.

 

My ranked experience so far has been like 800 to 1250 and I only started getting reasonable teammates at 1225 or so. Lots of rage in there.

 

I liked post 1500s. Everyone played whatever role they were good at, for the most part, and I could fill in.

Then people asked me to help them duo and they proved stupid hard to carry and now I'm back in 1400s. Q_Q

 

Tabi Phage rush Darius jungle and every lane giving Diana enough kills to curb-stomp me in direct combat is amazing.

Admittedly, Jon was at least doing fine until he started trying to help the absolutely useless bot lane, which ended up feeding double kills constantly because baddie Sona couldn't ward for shit.

"Chalice" rush Sona. Totally going to be useful.

 

I find around 1500 people are good enough that they just play whatever is required to fill in decently. So the top picks pick what they want and it goes better.

I've also had a lot of trouble playing with friends who were lower than me. Especially in Normal 5s. We would always get stomped.

 

Boots+1 ward (out of three the entire game) rushing Mercs and Athene's on a ghost-clarity Janna means I'm worst Ashe NA. :|

Also, E-Q R Q-E sounds nice and simple for Jayce in theory, but I'm having a ton of trouble actually pulling it off.
