It's okay so far. Not great, but certainly watchable.

Better to check out the first episode and form your own opinion.

I will now. I just needed a little shove. I just didn't want to waste an hour of my life staring at my hand because this show was so bad it made me :facepalm constantly.

Well last episode sort of had Dinah seeing the pros of the work Oliver was doing, but I reckon it will take to mid-season- if the show goes that far- before we see an inclination of Canary.

    Huntress? That might be cool.

Yeah, I don't expect it to happen soon. Just eventually.

FEdit: At the moment, I'm thinking it'll happen around the time Dinah finds out the masked man is Ollie. Maybe a few episodes after, but not too far outside that time frame.

And the web grows ever deeper. Oliver and Tommy grew up best friends. Robert and Mr. Merlyn were business partners and criminal empire partners. Robert got cold feet and Merlyn has him killed. Oliver's mom knows the whole story but is too afraid of Merlyn to do a thing about it.

I am interested in where Tommy is going to end up. I don't know much about the comics but wasn't he a bad guy?

He didn't exist in the comics until Arrow started. There was Oliver's mentor Arthur King, who was called Merlyn though. He was a villain and can be tied to the League of Shadows.

Did I see wrong or did Oliver get upset at Helena for killing her attacker seconds after he killed his own?

    Hypocrite.

His kept going for the gun, while she was handily beating down hers. It's a fine distinction (that could be nice in future episodes), but while Oliver can and does kill, he doesn't go for it from the start. She on the other hand is a bit more primal. Spraying the clip when she was on the motorcycle, the way she just straight-up killed her dad's henchman, etc...

Is any one else thinking that this romance is doomed, and that Huntress will most likely end up dead in Arrow arms?
If huntress has her own list, would she also happen to have the evidence to take down the entire crime family her self? I totally see her dad getting removes, the mob associates get knocked off and arrested, while she acquire all her families assets and resources, going legit.

So arrow and the huntress are partners in crime, he takes on big business while she goes after organised crime, funny thing is alot of people would be on both lists.

I don't think anyone would care either way, seeing as she isn't very memorable. That said, yeah... she'll probably kick the bucket within two or three episodes. The writing for this show isn't sophisticated enough to support two long-term love interests.

At least.... not sophisticated like Vampire Diaries, right, syed?

I don't think she will end up dead. I do think the brief but passionate romance they have going will end but it is more likely it will end with her leaving town due to her business in Starling City being done and a difference in methodology with Arrow.

I think Oliver will end up killing her, whether indirectly or directly.

Also death by cop, Specifically Detective lance, is a great idea, but say one of the bad guys knock her off, then Oliver gets a whole new revenge gig ready made.

It seems far more likely that they're going to have a bad break up and continue operating in the same city.

So no one has posted here for awhile, but the first season finale just aired and I was wondering what people thought of the season as a whole? I was definitely pretty impressed. They kept the plot moving along fairly quickly throughout and it was pretty interesting the whole time, if over dramatic at times.

Spoilers for the finale, for those who haven't yet seen it:
I think they had a really solid finale too. Malcolm was a pretty amazing villain and he really shined here, especially since his anger was even understandable on some level. Plus Starling City is going to be a pretty interesting setting next season after the earthquake, and there should be lots of occasionally entertaining overblown character drama between Oliver and Laurel, and the Queen family in general.

Also, thank god Tommy didn't pull a Harry Osborn. Definitely glad he stayed true to his character and morals.

I was actually considering bumping this thread myself for the same reason. I was actually incredibly surprised by this series, specifically by how good it wound up being. It definitely has its flaws, which as I understand it tend to come from it being a CW show (I didn't terribly care for the romantic drama, but it served its purpose I suppose), but they really didn't matter in the scheme of things.

The show's handling of Tommy in particular was really good.
Needless to say, I was really impressed that they chose to kill him off instead of making him go rogue. Additionally, having him turn against his father as soon as Malcolm confirmed that The Undertaking is a thing was really impressive. They kept him moral when it would have been so easy - and terrible - for the sake of drama to have him abandon his morals because of Ollie, and they deserve some serious credit for that.

Then there's Malcolm Merlyn and The Undertaking. The actual plan is a little silly in an intensely Comic Books way, but that was fine. They did a great job of showing why Merlyn would go to such extremes, and it wouldn't have worked if Barrowman didn't knock it out of the park with his acting.
Then the reveal that of course Merlyn had more than one device, that as a result Merlyn succeeded in his plan, was simply incredible. It took some real balls to have Ollie and company fail.

Needless to say, I am absolutely on-board for next season. I can't wait to see how they handle the fallout from the events of tonight's episode.

I continue to watch Arrow for Felicity.
    1. She's NOT sleeping with or tempted to sleep with the main character.
    2. She's Smoakin hot (nyuck nyuck nyuck).
    3. The deluge of accidental sexual innuendos in her word vomit is friggin glorious.

When Tommy was all 'I wish you would have died' I was about ready to punch a hole through my television. All signs pointed to him going evil. Thank God for this show's half-decent writers.

Yeah, Felicity and Diggle are both great characters, too.

    EDIT: Though,
I'm not so sure this is true. There have been a bunch of double-entendres and hints toward that when they interacted before Ollie started fucking Laurel again. That's probably just Felicity being Felicity, though.
