Minus the fact if Yamamato had faced him instead of an imposter (god, plot armor) then Yamamato would have slapped Bach down. Only when they had the true idea of Yamamato's Bankai did he become manageable to fight.

 

I stopped reading this during the filler after the Aizen arc. Is this still worth reading? Has it gotten better compared to that filler arc?

 

So, Ichigo is a human/shinigami/hollow/fullbring/quincy hybrid.

Did any other species appear that Ichigo wasn't part of?

If you mean the fullbring arc, nope, just as bad as that one.

It's just more common to call shit chapters that doesn't seem to matter at all "fillers". Use to only really exists in anime, but for bleach, there's fillers all over the manga too in my opinion.

Apparently Byakuya and Kenpachi are both alive, so much for some characters death, and captain commander body is also missing so he is probably still alive somehow, it looks like Kyokako will be the next commander of 13th division.

 

Bach destroyed the body.

 

He would have been safer if he just decapitated it.

What the fuck. MASSIVE disappointment. Kubo's character designs lately have been utter shit.

The tidbit about Bankai was nice, but eh. Too much fail in this chapter.

 

Got some One Piece character designs up in here. Where they do not belong. The only one I like is the second one from the right...who'll we probably be told is actually a guy at some point.

Bankai reveal was shocking and really should have been brought up before this point, imo. Though there's a precedent with the Arrancar's resurreccion and not many of the characters would suffer too badly from such a vulnerability.

 

I was prepared that the Zero Squad will not be as awesome as I imagined them, but there are still a big disappointment to me. The biggest mistake was to have two weirdos - 2,5. The rest just seems simply mediocre without them.

 

2 and 5? 1 seems far weirder than 2 who just has an odd hairstyle (and reminds from that Shaman King dude). I wasn't expecting Chouji's mum to make an appearance.

Squad Zero really feels more like a One Piece group. Tidbit about Bankai is nice, and also explains why a few Captains were so reluctant to use theirs constantly while the less smart people pulled out theirs all the time but I agree that it should have been mentioned earlier.

Also explains why mastering Bankai takes ten years. Using an incomplete Bankai in a fight and having it destroyed would mean you (after)life as a shinigami is over.

Since I never expected Squad Zero to amount to anything, I found their lackluster ensemble to be bearable and that info on bankai saved the chapter for me.

 

Christ. Taking a glance at this chapter has made me glad that I stopped reading this shortly after Aizen died.

 

Bankai bit annoyed me on Ikkaku's behalf. Didn't he state that his bankai was brittle by nature or something like that? Either he didn't know what he was doing and ruined his bankai or Kubo trolled him big time.

 

I doubt it would have made a difference given his battle-loving personality, he just wants a good fight and damn the consquences. His bankai wasn't that good in the first place though now he'll never reach his full potential (not that I expected him to).
