    I was about to write this.

    Anyway, it turns out that if someone really wants to see something in DF all he needs to do is to make a bet with Butcher with the intention of losing it.

    But personally, I'd bet that he can't make a book where Harry is the one to kick all kind of asses from the very beginning to the very end, without even breaking a sweat. Easy win.

    To be fair, Storm Front did suck (as did Foul Moon), at least compared to his later works.

    Then again, he got published and I haven't, so I might be a tad jelly. Just a tad.

    My local Chapters was selling Cold Days ahead of schedule. I should be done the book tomorrow.

    For those worried about pop-culture references, they have (so far) been packed into the first few chapters.

    Aye, I'm working part-time at Indigo Spirit in Banff (same company as Chapters), and we got Cold Days in this morning.

    If you're keen, it'd be worth checking your local (larger) book store. Cold Days is not what's called 'Strict on Sale', which means it can go out on the shelves as soon as it arrives at a shop.

    I read half of it this afternoon, finish the rest tomorrow after work. So far so good!

    I actually did check my local bookstore today on a whim, since I was in that area of town anyway... and it wasn't there.

    Of course I didn't expect it to be there, and had no real hope of it actually being available, so I wasn't disappointed.
