TBH, I still love the show. I am happy with the events of last week's episode.

I thought the first two episodes were a good way to get Jess and Finn to grow on us. Pissing on each other while locked in an ice chest = gold.

Now that things won't be so crowded with stale characters who have little plot left to go, I look forward to what else the Misfits writers come up with. So long as the writers don't change, I will keep watching. It is the writers + casting directors that really make this show stand out, IMO. And if Misfits continues as a show with a rotating cast, that would really make me happy, and cause me to find out about a lot of actors I otherwise wouldn't have. The very concept of the show, it would stretch the imagination that these kids would stay in community service. It requires a switch from community service being the main setting or the characters moving on and/or dying.

I predict the introduction of a new character if the show does continue next season, which I do think it will. I was super sick of Curtis, and he was boring as hell. TBH, I think they should introduce a new character in episode 6 or 7, so we have the interim between seasons to think about that character and wonder about whatever mystery they introduce.

Reading some casting news for the show, I see that Alex (the rumored to be gay guy) is the third freshman cast member that I thought just wasn't cast. So maybe he will stick around for awhile.



I'm still wondering who the hell the other two girls are...10 minutes later. Okay, so the redhead is Abby, played by Natasha O'Keeffe. The gang will meet her at a party, and she may or may not join the gang. Hope so, was hoping another girl would join the cast. Not sure who the blonde is.

Also, did everyone watch the special 'Erazer' special? It was pretty cool.

 

Oh, wow theres more than just three seasons. I found this on netflix one night while trying to go to sleep; kept me up all night watching the first season. I found the show was a bit of a let down once the Immortal was cut out does he make a return?

 

No. Without Nathan this show sucks.

 

Can' seem to find it online and seeing as I don't usually watch television the chance that I can find it on there is very slim. Could someone provide me with a link to season 4. It would be much appreciated.

I'm with Ash. Show's still doing fantastically. Howard Overmann's writing is still boss, and he's doing a damn good job of writing around the high British cast turnover rates, both written-in and the ones that force his hand (Like, say, Nathan and Kelly's actors). And Joseph Giligun completely and utterly rocks it as Rudy(s), and Jess and Finn are pretty fun, so I don't mind. Awesome show is awesome.

And Ash: The blonde woman is part of the production. It's a behind-the-scenes shot. Abby the redhead's a cutie, though, looking forward to seeing her play out.

It's not just that Curtis died, it's the fact that after four or so episodes I still don't have any interest in Jess or Finn. They are the equivalent to Kelly and Curtis for me. Filler characters that have subplots that aren't all that interesting. I actually thought Curtis would step into a lead role in the show to keep me interested, but instead he left it.

Rudy is the only member left that's interesting. The bartender didn't have enough lines at all to make me care what's up with him, and Finn and Jess have kind of just been there.

There is no overarching plot after 4 episodes, and since Misfits seasons only last like 8 episodes, I can't see anything happening except filler episodes to introduce a new cast.

Maybe I'll take a break and catch up next year if they continue. I'd hate to get introduced to all these characters with filler episodes and then have the show get cancelled.

had me laughing until I cried, until I was in pain. One of the funniest scenes in all of Misfits, for me at least.

A little doubtful that the Abbey storyline will be satisfactory, especially since they only have so much time for it, but hopeful nonetheless.

Anyone else think it looked an awful lot like Alex was saving Nathan (!!) from the gangsters he tried to prostitute himself to in the brother episode? Time travel? I mean, it was definitely them, but I'm not 100% that it was Nathan. It also looked a lot like Nathan standing on the rooftop in the future-sweater. And it looked like Abbey flying.

So the series finale was today. I know a lot of people checked out sometime after Nathan left, but really, you missed the fuck out. Rudy alone made the show amazeballs, and after a bit of a rough start for most, the Series 4 new additions shined like all get-out by Series 5. And the finale today? Kinda actually pretty perfect to me, equal parts Misfits-y funny, Misfits-y "did that just happen wut", and Misfits-y "fuck logic it's still fun", and as well as... dat ending. It was a crazy little show that did a whole bunch of crazy things, and honestly, just a fun ride. And it ended on its own terms; I don't know if they'll do a movie or whatever the rumour floating about is, but I'm cool if they don't. Just gotta appreciate the end we got after five years. Good times.
