What is with that HUGE nerf on Athene's o,0 I can see it being necessary if they shifted it back to 80 ap, but from 90-60? o,0 That's almost useless tier.

Because Athene's shouldn't be the end-all-be-all item that provides huge CDR, AP, Mres, and Mregen.

It should be bought for defenses, yet people are taking it for offense.

Oh, there's no doubt it's strong. I'm just wondering what would make them decide to nerf it so much all in one go. After all, people thought it was underpower (it wasn't) when it first came out with 80 ap and they promptly buffed it. Dunno, I just feel that if it's such a drastic change we won't be seeing it for a long time until they buff it again. Just go back to ROA.

    I mean, 60 AP I might as well go Nashor's tooth o,0

Echoing what Evan Tide said, it's an extremely good item that provides MR, AP, CDR, and Mana regen.
Hell, it had more AP than most AP items. The nerf is definitely justified.

As for the overall redesign, I feel AD mains in solo queue are going to get shafted. Even with the new toys, it's going to take longer to scale into lategame IMO. Which translates into if you're in "ELO Hell" go with an AP or Top lane to dominate the midgame teamfights period.

Also, Singed is going to be hilarious. Blackfire Torch, Frozen Fist, Arcane Helix perhaps? Jesus. So much damage, health, and utility.

Helix confirmed to not be released or even out of internal Riot beta.

BFT not getting ported. Liandry's is inferior for Singed and not as abusive as BFT.

Singed doesn't proc skills enough for Frozen Fist to make that much off a difference, though the stats are nice. I guess if you're roflstomping, you could take it. The new Fheart build path actually helps singed out more because he can get much stronger anti-AD defenses, which are his primary enemies.

Side Note: My teacher just announced that my last 3 weeks of game design this quarter, part of the Final, and the final project all involve League. I am happy with this.

I feel that you can activate your poison to proc the Frozen Fist. Shame about the other items though.
Since the poison lasts for 3 seconds, and Singed has ~1 aspd, you should be more than safe to toggle the poison on and off every attack for the extra damage.

Toggles don't trigger sheen-based procs. It's also why they're changing Tear to work off mana consumption.

Toggle skills don't count as skill activations.

Glue would though. Double slow! Throw and Slow! Maybe not optimal, but still fun.

    p.s. So jelly of classwork.

I'm obviously not part of this tight-knit DLP subgroup you guys have going here, but I was wondering if anyone would mind queuing for normals with me? I know I'd be playing with complete strangers either way, but I was hoping DLP would at least guarantee non-raging team mates? I'm still learning the ropes of the game; I'm not very good.

Feel free to add me in game and I'll play some with you.

    I only rage at shezza.
And it's not a tight knit group, I know my DLP list is huge and I hardly know anyone on it, so you won't be the odd man out or anything.

I admit to generally playing with a particular subset of people that are online at similar times... and actually are attentive enough to accept invites. Otherwise, I mostly only see other DLP members in the occasional Custom games that we've done. When we do Customs, we generally do at least three matches, and as many as seven or eight once.

Add me too, same name as on here, and I'll play some matches if I'm around.

Rabbit: DLP long since moved past the "exclusive e-peen" club it used to be. Feel free to add me at ZEAL92.

Well, not everybody can manage to play with Evan Tide/Prometheius, but he's nice enough some of the time.:p

Most people are actually pretty laid back, though.

I don't mind if people are bad. I just mind when they're bad and refuse to acknowledge what they're doing wrong.

To be fair though, most people would get their own emotions flared up when blatantly told "You're bad!" over and over. I feel like usually people listen if you give an "advice that you could choose to take" compared to an "advice that you HAVE to take NOW."

I guess I should spend more time trying to play with Promethius then. I would love to get some productive feedback.

Well, as an example, he quite frequently lambasts Frank when and if they are playing in the same game... something that is usually willfully avoided. Yet, one time after we more or less finished for the night, he proceeded to give him advice on runes, masteries, and some champions for a little over an hour via our Skype call. Frank was actually pleased with Prometheius after that.

Well, until the next time they played together... XD
