What's up with the Chinese and their obsession with melons? I thought at first that it was for mud blood, but then they were using the word in almost every other sentence. Pretty hilarious though. I was giggling like a girl.

 

I believe they used melon for mudblood as well as muggle.

 

Just to note - New York is correctly colored purple on that map.

NY =/= NJ

 

I disagree. Especially to popular opinion from people out of country. Also on the map I can't find a single geographic point that would include New York City but not include some part of NJ, since they are so close (See: New Jersey goes father north into the country than the actual location of NYC. The more I stare at the map I'm convinced that, in fact, NYC isn't part of the purple at all.

 

Sorry to break it to you, but that whole left purple section on the map is all NY. Find where NJ's coast is, cut straight up (roughly) to the top of the purple, and everything to the left of that in the purple is NY pretty much.
