I was under the impression that Obito got the touch based version of Kamui, which allowed him to do things like transport himself between the dimensions and bring things back, while Kakashi got the long ranged version, but Kakashi seems to have started using his eye like Obito's.

 

Same here. I thought Kakashi's eye only worked at range and Obito's only worked at point-blank but it seemed that may been due to an affinity rather than an actual limitation. Or it might be because of the situation they were each first used in.

 

Sharingan. Copy Wheely eye thingy. operative word is Copy. Kakashi prolly copied Obito's Technique, since its the same pair of eyes and all...

So, uh, I just thought of something and am now blanking hard. Where the hell did Tobi's EMS go? He had one of those, right? Did we ever get to see what it did? And did it get damaged, or did he just replace it with the Rinnegan instead of getting rid of his normal MS like a dumbass?

 

I don't think he ever had a EMS but I am not sure I am pretty confused now :/

 

Unless I'm forgetting something, he never had one.

And I actually kind of forgot that a Sharingan's main function is coping other techniques. Nobody really use it that way these days.

 

It's weird, isn't it? I realised a while ago that IIRC, the last time we saw the Sharingan copy a technique for certain was with Lee's taijutsu.

 

I could have sworn we saw him with Madara and Izuna's EMS. Was that just a flashback, then? Bleh.

 

Was it the eye he sacrificed to survive Konan's attack?

 

I don't think Tobi's ever had the EMS. At first, I wondered why he hadn't gone blind from over use of the MS but then there probably a couple reasons - one is that, since he seems to be having a large stock of Sharingans, he was probably replacing the eyes that went blind. The other could be the Hashirama-cells in his body because of the Zetsu clone which might be healing him or something.

The two aren't mutually exclusive either. Its possible that both are true (well that or Kishimoto forgot that since Tobi had the MS, he was supposed to be going blind and I'm grasping at straws to explain it...).

 

Hashirama's cells might make sense, but it's been said time and time again in this latest arc that Obito and Kakashi's eyes are from the same pair of eyes - Obito's own.

 

Meh all this talk bout EMS while juubi strolls round... Sigh Kishi going to put some hardcore plokai in this I know it

Ah well might as well continue with EMS... I am still mad about how it was shown Obito used his MS to port into his AU. If that is so how does he use the AU with only the regular Sharingan activated. I suppose it adds another hax to Sharingan because it didn't get a power up in a while... right?

Everyone just came together for some cluster fuck of a reason out of nowhere all at the same time when you couldn'r see any of them a second earlier. Yeah, this is a manga alright. Super jutsu to divert Juubi done, super jutsu to try and beat it....coming. Damn...

I'm a sucker for a big damn heroes moment but these guys are so dead.

 

Jeez they couldn't have made Tobito's future any more obvious could they?

 

More like probably about to be Sharingan'd en masse into thinking Naruto is their enemy.
