Well, I think that if Harry drank Felix Felicis and went to face Voldemort, he would find an empty Malfoy Mansion, or better yet, one where there was a surprise muggle-striptease party prepared for Voldemort, but the man of the hour is late, and no one told the muggles just how their host will look like.

Well, we know that even a little drop of felix felicis can make you pretty much easily duck spells, so who knows what a full dose could do? Still, like many of the things in the wizarding world, the concept isn't well thought out well enough for accurate conclusion, so we can speculate our hearts out, and as far as I"m concerned, 'The Little Hangleton Stripper House' is as good an option as any.

 

Ah, I believe it's a perfectly viable defensive weapon, but completely unviable option as a means for offence. What luck is it to find an enemy?

 

The way I see it, Voldemort could destroy Harry in a duel, especially if he takes pains to avoid Priori Incantatem. With that in mind, I figure Felix Felicis would simply ensure Harry doesn't go anywhere near Voldemort, no matter how much he might want to. Having Felix Felicis somehow cause Voldemort to sneeze and accidentally activate a yet-unknown spell that destroyed all his Horcruxes and turned him into a pumpkin would be a bit... much. Even liquid luck has its limits.

 

Depends on how prepared you are to confront that enemy, I'd suppose. Do you have your industrial-strength bear trap transfiguration ready to spring on the other guy? Good. Just lay it out and weave around their spell-fire until the asshole maneuvers himself into/onto it by mistake.

 

I agree. Felix Felicis would only help after the Horcruxes were destroyed, but Harry had to use it to get Slughorn to talk. And, if he took another dose, he would probably die, since too much of a good thing is very poisonous.

 

You can take it more than once in your life - Slughorn specifically says he took it twice, for instance. It is poisonous, but in large quantities - like, say, a vial every week or so.

Basically, I agree with Nauro, if only because that's a better story than having Harry swig a potion and win by default.
