I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Brainiac show up in this world. If it is supposed to be a gritty reboot kind of movie like the new Batman movies, I can see all kinds of possibilities for a Brainiac invasion.

Fine by me.

 

Hmm. Still seems very angsty. Also grey. Exceptionally grey. However, the flying section looks awesome, and whatever else you might say about Snyder, the man can do an action scene, so that side should be good. It's not grabbing me overall though.

 

It's definitely not how I'd make this movie, but I can accept this direction as long as I can see that Superman is still Superman.

And the next trailer needs to show more action. Preferably spectacular, mind-blowing action.

 

I'm personally liking the human factor this film seems to be emphasizing with Superman. I agree that there is a tad bit of emo going on, but nothing too extreme that I am bothered by it.

 

No Lex Luthor and Snyder as director has at least a chance to be entertaining.

 

Still has a thing for timps, though.

 

Off topic: Did anyone else think that the voice over would have been an awesome Darth Sion?

On topic: Super-Man is supposed to be epic and over the top, with Kryptonite being his big "oh fuck" weakness. I don't want to see planet moving moments but I don't really want to have any realism. I want to see a comic book movie, dammit, no hyper realism for me.

 

Two things I love the most about the trailer: The music (Reminds me of 'Now we are free' from 'Gladiator') and his father saying "Maybe".

To me it looks like Lois/some female has been linking random acts of herosim and is searching for him?

 

I remember Lois doing something similar in the Birthright origin, linking all the anonymous acts that Clark does while he travels the world. They've probably adapted that into the movie.
