g is acceleration due to gravity. A Vector. I have no idea where all this debate about assuming it as positive or negative comes from. It already has a Direction. The positive or negative is implicit. Isn't it?

Ok, this isn't a very funny post either... but I understood everything in that picture apart from one thing.

At the top it says a=0m/s(squared) and v=0m/s. Why is V 0m/s? I understand that there's no acceleration, but there's still velocity isn't there? It's still moving left to right.

 

You're partially right. There is Horizontal velocity, which is assumed constant. The one which is shown as Zero is the Vertical Velocity. At the Peak of the Parabola the mass stops moving in the upwards direction, Hence V(h) or V(y) is Zero. There is still Horizontal Velocity V(x) which acts along the X-axis. Again, Velocity is a Vector.

Besides all that, there's a lot of equations in that Pic which is unnecessary. The creator of the pic simply put all equations involved in a Parabolic trajectory of a Projectile.

This would be sooo much simpler if I could type out Mathematical equations.
