Honestly, I finally got to play and I was disappointed. There's a lot of client lag, which threw off my last hitting. I mean delay, so I didn't get anywhere near as much money as I should. It was about .5 seconds of delay for every action, including skills which would have wrecked me in the 3 games I played but the other team was newness so I won anyway. Still the delay turned me off to this game.

I have a spare key if anyone wants it. Just send me a PM with you e-mail and I'll send it off.

EDIT: The key has been given away.

Make sure to select the correct servers.

When I started, I just let the thing go and ended up on EU or Asian servers, which left a delay.

I limited matchmaking to US servers and I have no lag at all. Dropping the graphics down a bit might help too.

Since there's a number of Dota 2 invites flying around with Santa, wondering if anyone's playing regularly/interested in forming a regular group to play in.

This. If anyone wants, tell us now, because anyone is open to getting DOTA 2, not just folks who gave into the pile. We've a ton of extra copies, if you want it, you will have it.

I suggest you play offline vs bots for a few games first, I'll play with you if you like.

Yesterday I thought I had an Dota 2 invite, was a bit confused on how it got there but rather happy. Turns out, it is just for watching other people play >_>

Anyone has one invite left and wouldn't mind parting with it?

Edit: Got it, thank you very much, Peteks.

I would like one too. Used to play Dota a lot and from what I have seen most things remain the same if improved. Shouldn't take too long to get into it again.

    EDIT: Thank you Peteks. :D

So how often does everyone play and what type of game? Quite partial to single draft because of how absolutely shits and giggles it is.

I play... around 10-30 hours a week, depending on how free I am, how bored I am, and a bunch of other things. Usually play AP, but I leave captain's mode up to play since it's usually... interesting.

I play 8-10 games/day, almost always keen for a game with anyone in aus/sea region. Got 12 invites for anyone who wants.

Single draft, partly because it means there's a small chance that the enemy team will pick heroes they're unfamiliar with and I won't end up with a 1/3 K/D ratio, and partly because it's fun trying out new heroes.

It's weird how it works though, I've played quite a few games of SD by now and it rarely gives me a hero it hasn't before, and there are a lot of those.

A few hours a week, Dota, like HoN and LoL, are not games I can play for very long. Can only endure getting gangraped by Riki and Pudge for so long. (and there is always a Riki and/or a Pudge in the enemy team)

Have five keys now too, in case anyone wants.
