And this another reason why I play single draft.

You know what, I had that exact same sentiment until last night where I was the Centaur Warrunner and a Riki kept trying to gank me. It was hilarious since all that ever happened was my passive knocking part of his damage back in his face, me stunning him for 3 seconds and then insta killing him with my W. Ended up with about 23 kills last night and over half of them were Riki.

Suddenly I hate Riki a little less.

I only play Single Draft and Random Draft, the former more often than the latter, but in 90 % of the games, there is a Riki or a Pudge in the opposing team.

Shit luck I suppose, I've never seen either of 'em in SD. Though that might be because I'm still quite low level.

It seems you played with better players than I did. Most Pudge I was in game(either side) couldn't hit a single dammit hook. And Riki? There was this one where I was soloing him as Zeus. He was that bad.

Now Huskar is a pain in the ass wherever there is one in the game and so is Invoker.

Seems like a lot of you guys just have bad luck in your match-ups. I exclusively play All Pick and I hardly ever see Riki, and even when I do I just pick Nyx and stomp his ass so hard he runs crying.

Now Pudge, on the other hand, I see plenty of that fatty. To play effectively against Pudge, you just need a lot of wards and constant awareness. I've also found that Lone Druid makes a wonderful counterpick to him if played correctly.

Skykes, speaking of dotabuff, Valve killed it today. It is no longer gathering and displaying match data of any kind :(.

Well, I checked it before it went down yesterday. Can't remember my rating number, but 93rd percentile. I actually doubt that accuracy, because I'm pretty certain it also takes into account every non active player, which skews te rating heavily in favor of active ones.

You have to have 25-50 games played minimum to be included.

That is an inactive player? I mean it has been out for quite a while, if a person played a single game every other day such person has long since passed that number.

I think its more accounting for people who play only in short spurts, most likely people who just don't have the time to sit down for a match every now and then. It's actually a pretty decent ranking as it means that the player has invested at least 10 hours into the game.

I'd just like to tell everyone that Spirit Breaker is a gorram bro. New favourite champ, I think.

Hey, so I've recently picked up this game, and if there's anyone else playing in the Aus/SEA region, it'd be fun to play together.

Also, is there some sort of matchmaking involved? If so, can you see what skill level you currently are?

I come from a predominantly SC2 background, so I'm thinking stuff like leagues etc.

There is matchmaking but Valve/Icefrog wanted to be all Carebear like, so all of the stats including your own rank is hidden.
