A Place to Belong is a readable Elfen Lied & Rosario + Vampire crossover. It's set a few years before the normal Rosario timeline. I haven't read the latest chapters, but it was a decent read. I've never seen Elfen Lied, but caught up pretty quick with some wiki'ing.

You must be joking! The technical writing is terrible and the characterization laughable. I'm going to read on for a bit more because I like the concept of Napoleon conquering a fantasy world, but if the quality stays this bad throughout the fic, I'll stop soon.

That fandom section is basically: Lord of the Land of Fire and his meh fics, then you've got platinumsaber and his lemon fic and the holy grail in He Who Fights Monsters. This is honestly getting the wheels in ma brain turning and those wheels are saying, "If you want something done properly then do it yourself." And I have a little prologue planned out but not much after.

AU of In Flight with an AU Shirou. The FSN path is some wonky new path due to the obvious difference in description, and the Sekirei part is escalating quickly. It's written as its own story, not an omake.

I liked it, and honestly it feels like a better take of the same basic idea. It has flaws, and is obviously highly derivative, but it really excises a lot of the undesirable aspects of the original, and it isn't going in an identical direction as either canon or In Flight.

I dunno, I think if I haven't read In Flight, I'd enjoy that story more. But as of now, this story just doesn't interest me that much and is kind of boring.

On the otherhand, here's another FSN story that I've found great so far. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8842511/1/Labyrinth-of-Fate . There aren't very many Magi stories out there, so this was super awesome.

It is quite amusing. It runs into the issue of it well, I don't see anything after this being as focused and good. Entirely too short to judge accurately though.

It's interesting but when a character gives themselves a badass name with meaning, it always strikes as a lame and badfic-y thing to me. Still, going to follow this for a while, to see where it goes.

Yeah it always kind of smacks of "Here comes the OC!" but then again at 4 chapters this could go anywhere.

The name could actually become a non issue as Shepard breaks down even further.

No kidding. Half the stories in that section can be summed up as 'my shitty OC comes to Youkai Academy and snatches one of Tsukune's harem!111!11'

Cultural Artifacts is a first contact human in Equestia story.

Putting it here, as opposed to for review, as the writer seems to forget we can't read his mind.

The whole way through the story, there just seems to be things missing - minor explanations as to what the hell is going on. Repeated perspective shifts, but lacking knowledge to go with them

And because of that, I can't tell if the story is any good or not.

Lots of interesting ideas popping up through it, and it seems to have inspired a slew of other, sort of related, fics.

Cultural Artifacts was mildly interesting to read. As you said Thaumologist, some interesting ideas and whatnot in there. The concept seems more like a thought experiment than a proper story.

I do agree with that. I had no clue what was happening at some parts. It felt like big paragraphs were missing - especially towards the last few chapters. Speaking of which, from what I could work out, the last chapter was full of "wtf".

Edit2: I was thinking about it and I'm kinda surprised this fic kept me interested enough to finish. I don't even like MLP and my only exposure is through a Dresden crossover, and the fic was fairly bad to be honest...

Edit: Through the Looking Glass was a bit 'meh'. Concept was somewhat interesting, but the execution (at least from the 4 chapters that are out so far) are a bit average. As Nemrut said too, as soon as a character gives themselves a dramatic name it seems lame. I also don't think it built up to the point of her going into a murderous rage well enough.

Oh then you def wont like the ME fic that I'm trying to write then. XD

Yeah the "0 to "DIE MIRANDA DIE!" in 2 seconds flat felt a bit like it was trying to ramp up tension but failed.

I read through Cultural Artifacts and agree that it was incredibly confusing. Giving it some thought, I think I can work out what happened in the latest chapter, but it reads like some of the things I've written after three days of caffeine fuelled insomnia. The author could really do with a proof reader or something, just so that he can have someone not completely insane look it over before posting. He also needs help working on descriptions. Ponies, for example, are described as being both about the size of your average dog and also weighing as much as regular horses. Again, confusing.

Still interesting though. If it was written more cohesively I would have enjoyed it more, and especially if it didn't make caricatures out of Twilight and Pinkie Pie.

Well I did love Clash of Civilizations (ME/HALO). So if it's done well, it can be very cool. An example for the problem with this fic is how the human happens to be able on a farm, comfortable enough with maths to work out different number systems, have a microscope, be comfortable enough in a firefight, etc etc. It's contrived, and while its kinda fun at times, you can't really call it "good".

A completed fanfic (I'm only up to chapter 9) that's basically a first person retelling of the Bleach manga. The writing is solid, and the only reason it's here instead of the review board is because it sticks to canon, as far as I can tell.

That said, I actually am finding it superior to the manga so far, in just what I've seen covered. Even though you know what's coming up you still feel for the characters.

Not really sure why I am reccing this story here since I didn't like it that much but meh, maybe someone else will get some enjoyment out of it.

Fate : Chaos is a story in the same vain as Fate: Zero Sense (which I loathed), which is Fate Zero with different Servants except for Saber. Those new heroes are from different anime and book series, so, you might be familiar with most of them.

The difference with Zero Sense is that this has no real bashing in it, although a few characters get wanked a bit too much. Lancer and Caster seem ridiculously overpowered compared to the characters they have to fight against, which makes it difficult to take the fights seriously if you know that those characters are not even in the top fifty in their respective series.

Other characters are not handled that well either.

Really, don't have much good to say about it except for that I didn't hate it and it was a decent time waster, stemming from my desperate need for good Fate stories >_>

Edit: Just read Nerve Damage and it was the most fun I had in weeks, reading a fanfic. It's ballsout insane and has too many characters to ever get a satisfying conclusion but damn if it isn't awesome, entertaining and pure fun.

At the start of Becoming, Angelus captures Willow and Xander. Everything changes
    Words:7,660 Chapters: 4/4

Randomly stumbled across this. It's fairly short, but it's probably the best Drusilla fic I've ever read. It also features Vamp!Willow and some other cool stuff.

    Completed.

Anya has always been one of my favorite characters, so a piece centering on her is win by my standards. Not library worthy to be honest, too short and not all that well written, but it still was an enjoyable piece for me. On a side note; when it says multiverse it isn't exaggerating.
