Well I can't say I have any concrete knowledge about that, but whatever this author did to the Mandalorians has to be better than making them pacifists like the Clone Wars TV series did.

I suspect it will be three Jacen Solo storylines, or should be. The RL/fictional dates even pretty much match up. Only bit of the EU I've ever really been interested in - fascinating character, interesting stories.

I actually liked Anakin Solo. Though granted I stopped reading NJO before Darth Caedus officially appeared. Young Jacen, the one who had such communion with animals, was interesting though. Jaina was a bit of a bitch sometimes but I liked her specialty being flying and whatnot.

Not sure if I want the new movie to feature them though. Hm.

Jacen's story was a bit too similar to Vader's, so I doubt they'll use the twins. I'm guessing they'll go with an entirely new story.

I thought it was confirmed they just aren't touching the EU?

Huh, I took it as more of a "Yeah, we're psychotic genocidal assholes to the rest of you, but we've got families too, man." I look at it the same way I do when I read the ASoIaF books: It's a subjective view from inside the minds of people from an extremely violent culture, with some wildly different ideas about the value (or lack thereof) of life. They lead hard lives, and it makes them into hard people for it. Hell, the nicest Mandalorian Traviss shows us (Kal Skirata) is still a stone killer with decades of experience fighting other people's wars for the almighty credit. Despite all the insanity of their rather twisted ideals, they are recognizably human, as opposed to the rather sanctimonious Jedi ideal, and the cartoonish evil of the Sith.

Yes, I know that's not exactly the way Traviss wrote them, what with how she was so busy glazing over anything bad they ever did to use them to point at the Jedi and cry "Hypocrite!" That's just the way I choose to interpret it since it is, to date, one of the only serious attempts to flesh out any organization that isn't Jedi or Sith-aligned in the SW universe, which intrigues me.

Well, they can't be any worse than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Hopefully.

Shut up and take. MY. MONEY.

I'm more partial to Han Solo as a character, but I'd actually prefer to see the Fett movie, just to raise interest in Mandolorians, and possibly fulfill my long lost dream of seeing a sequel to Star Wars : Republic Commandos.

Going to be hard to find another actor to live up to Harrison Ford as Han Solo... but I'm on board with the "shut up and take my money" concept. Fun movies GO!

Space heist with lightsabers and lasers? Why the fuck wouldn't you make that movie, Disney? Do you dislike gratuitous amounts of money?

Hmmm... I don't really care that much about what they go with, as long as it includes Light Sabers.

    No Fuck You, he's black...

Yeah honestly I'd rather see Donald than any white actor play Han.

I could see James Franco as a young Han. Or Chris Pine.

Kirk and Solo? There would be something very wrong with that, bit too much awesome for one man's shoulders innit?

Christopher Lee was Dracula, Saruman, Magneto, Count Dooku, Death from Discworld, Sherlock Holmes, Mycroft Holmes, Fu Manchu...

They've all gotta start somewhere. Chris Pine's portayal of Kirk only convinces me that he's got both the looks and the attitude of a young Solo in his repertoire. Kirk is close enough to Solo to be an easy reach for Pine. Fuck, they practically share some of the same lines - 'Never tell me the odds'?

Chris Pine for young Han Solo is my pick. Take it as you will.
