The Rosario manga is whole orders of magnitude better than that shitty fanservice anime. I haven't watched the anime myself, just seen clips here and there so I don't know how dissimilar the early parts might be, but the manga gets very good. Try it.

In short, ending sucked. I wanted to see who Hades was, and to see Akira and Arita meet again. Nothing properly explained. Only good point was the track girl (Tokiwa?) growing up hot. Akira damn better have been hitting that shit on the sly.

I'm remembering this manga I finished reading a few months back. Not sure if I saw it in the rec thread or just randomly saw, but it was pretty good.

Korean, so full colour. The premise was that people were finding themselves with strange powers, and there were monsters coming into the world at random times and places, and the government had a lot of scheming going on about it. One of the main characters had blue hair and could grow ice off his body, while another was an average family man until his legs started growing stronger and everything went to hell.

Does anyone else remember this? I'm fairly sure it finished only in the last year or so, and it was really good. Sorry if this should've gone in the other thread, but this seemed a better place.

Could it be Trace? I've never heard of it before but your description intrigued me and this seemed to somewhat match it.

Yes, it is. Thank you. I've got to go reread this now, because it is wonderful.

    So. Damn. True.

In other news, I'm totally digging Onepunch Man - which is just fucking awesome and hilarious - and Tower of God - which is just fucking awesome in a proper story way - right now. They're definitely the releases I look out for most.

That was...random. I was expecting a serious fight this chapter, and for Oga to probably get Worf'd. But the chapter did at least seem to heavily imply that these new guys are connected with the Demon World somehow, so it wasn't a complete waste of space.

Not sure if I like the direction baby beel manga is going. How many older brothers does baby beel have? Maybe they could be backed by one of them or it could just be another test.

Could also be some other rogue demon faction. Them being jacked up on demon power is a far sight better than a bunch of school punks randomly being able to go toe to toe with Oga, who really is far beyond the point where regular humans should be able to even look at him.

    Fairy Tail 318 pleases me.

It's good to see Gajeel ready to step up to the plate after Natsu stole the show in the double battle.

A wee bit later than the scanlation, but Minamoto-kun 66.

Aunt was more hnnng than usual this chapter. Was a little disappointed to see Chuujou aborted before Terumi was able to consummate his victory, but auntie probably has the right of it in saying that nothing good would come of pursuing it further. Alas. As for his request, it's good to see him growing enough balls to assert himself and make one, but it might end up being a case of 'careful what you wish for.' A deeper relationship with the next target will only lead to actual pain when he has to break it and move on to the one after.

So last time I read The Breaker, the protagonist was weak and pretty useless.

    Has that changed yet?

Do you mean when he was brought down to normal or from the earlier parts of the first series?

In any case, yes it has.

I thought New Waves was far too slow-paced, and that a lot of the new characters weren't particularly engaging. Still, I kept with it and it's become a lot more fun in the past 20-30 chapters. The protagonist is getting his game on now.

New chapter for new waves comes out tomorrow, but I just hope shioon does not have a broken core again. Not sure if I can go through that emo moment again. I kind of want to see more nine-arts face time, but i know the focus is mostly on shioon for this series.

I kind of thought it was cliche that Gajeel ate shadow just like how Natsu ate lightening/etherion energy. I am looking forward to what this armageddon situation with the dragons actually looks like.

I just also read the High School of the Dead is back. I did enjoy reading it, even though it was packed full of fan service. Now only if HXH would come back, it would make my day.

Meh, it won't break. There might some sort of physical repercussions from this fight but I doubt that he'd regress in regards to his ki.

Me specifically, or a member of DLP?

But yeah, I've been reading for a fairly long while. It's an enjoyable manga all in all; fun characters, fun fights and a refreshing fast (sometimes too fast) pace.

You specifically and I honestly don't know why. It just doesn't mesh with whatever I know of you so far(not that am saying annoy, just whatever I've been able to glean from you.)

Personally I tried to like it but just couldn't I found the main character to be extremely annoying and one note with the only interesting and compelling character being Erza.

Also for a shounen manga it was just disconcerting seeing Natsu taking out guild leaders and beating the fairy guild leader's grandson the electricity guy. Hell I even think that the writer makes characters who would fights on their own lose just for the purpose of Natsu swooping in and saving the day.

I don't know this things don't seem like things I thought you would enjoy.

Hm, well alright then. Action shounen is probably my main preference for manga so things like the Big 3, Fairy Tail, Toriko, Beelzebub and similar titles would fall within my realm of interest.

For Fairy Tail, it probably helps that I don't take too seriously and just treat it as entertainment. With something like Naruto, I'm more invested so I pay more attention to the work as a whole and I'm more critical of it. All I expect from Natsu are bouts of craziness and humour as well as badass fight scenes. For me, the fights make sense in context since there's often certain circumstances involved and the author pays tribute to the idea of being helped by nakama. And while he probably gets more attention than necessary, numerous other characters get enough screentime and development that it's not particularly grating.

Basically, I'm a sucker for ass-kicking, manga humour and special powers. :awesome
