You underestimate Parting's immortal push. :D

EDIT: He can do other things too, but why bother?

If a protoss is making 20 void rays, just go kill him.

Corrupters are actually really bad against voids, as they are armored. I'm not an expert, but to counter mutas, I'd suggest infestors with fungal and infested marines.

Otherwise, if you're already into muta tech, Mutas are actually quite effective against them. Just fly in, kill a few, then fly out when they get charged.

Yeah I ran in like an idiot with like 30 mutas into god knows how many void rays. I probably should have just saved them so he couldn't move out without losing his base.

Blizzard "revealed" a new site, which will probably be used to advertise the new expansion.

You guys can test your hax skills to figure out the password, or do it the easy way and highlight the spoiler tab =]

The new expansion after HOTS will be Legacy of the Void. This... I expect this to be some form of extra campaign. Initially I thought DLC, but blizz has yet to inflict that upon us.

    Should be interesting regardless though.

The plan from the beginning was to have each expansion have a complete campaign. I figure this is juts an ARG for hype.

Well, actually the plan from the beginning was to release all three race campaigns with the first game, but that got shot down by Kotick, if I'm recalling correctly.

Yeah, I'm playing it somewhat. Still have to play in IPTL for my team, so playing that heavily (i'm only even practicing on one map for the coming two weeks), but after IPTL bracket we'll be moving over to HOTS full time.

So there is a new update coming soon that will introduce a lot of great new features to SC2 WoL, most of them will be in HoTS.

On the subject of the expansions, I believe that the original plan was to have three ten mission long campaigns, one for each race. However, as the Terran campaign grew in scope beyond this (the campaign WoL shipped with is close to thirty missions long) it was decided to split the Zerg and Protoss campaigns, which would be of similar length, into their own expansions. Whether Activision had anything to do with this I have no idea. This never occured to me, since I was less cynical back then. Of course, Blizzard originally said the two expansions would come out one and two years respectively after WoL. :( Hope it is worth the wait.

I think it is cool that the new features are being added to WoL, but since I'll be getting HotS on day one it is sort irrelevant. Still, cool for those who don't.

If there's one thing I've learned when it comes to Blizzard, it's to never trust them when it comes to "Expansions will come out within time period X" - Not that I'm blaming for it, there are just tons of hiccups and problems that they can run into. Hell, the only reason WoW's gotten faster is because they've had the best part of a decade to put together a core-team that generally knows what they're doing and the hardest part is probably a mixture of artwork combined with any new mechanics / spells they want to work in.

Are you talking about HotS? Because once Blizzard gives an actual date of release, as they've done with HotS, I don't think they've ever changed it.

He's talking about before HotS's release date was known.

From last night's GSTL games, it does seem kinda unbalanced at the moment. Then again, that was only seven games, and two of them featured at least one sub-pro level player.

    I guess we'll see.

Zerg is getting smashed hard, currently.

It's nostalgic, really. Takes me back to the early days of WoL where Terran ruled all.
