There aren't many 'written' stories with the Harry/Katie pairing. Search for the pairing in the fanfiction.net search. A few stories I remember were decently written a couple of years ago. So, no promises on quality.

 

Shit, there was one in the Almost Recommendable thread - a recent and semi-good one.

Just do a filter search on FFn (Harry P. and Katie B. as the characters), and you'll find it.

 

I'm pretty sure you mean this fic:

And I must agree, it was very decent, although it's narrated from Katies' POV.

EDIT: I've just seen that user "Drake" mentioned the story in his request. Duh.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good Political!Harry stories. I've been reading Delenda Est, but Bella's character is annoying me. I'd really like one where the politics are actually done well.

 

Not sure if it's exactly what you had in mind but Incorruptible: The Dementor's Stigma by Matt Silver 3k is pretty good, and it has tons of Politics.

 

Well, there is this quaquaquaqua's 'My Reflection'. I think it's in the Almost Recommendable thread. Some things sound way over the top, but the political aspect of the story is well done.

Having recently read Stronger Than Hope, are there any other stories out there where Occlumency/Legilimency play a large role in the story?

An epic story. The first two books are complete. The third and final book hasn't yet begun to appear. Events are post Twilight Princess, which is property of Nintendo. I've taken liberties with explaining the political situation before and after Zant seized control of Hyrule and imprisoned Zelda, so read carefully.

 

I vaguely recall a delightful Founders era fic where the four founders were all sort of young, and each came from different celtic tribes / levels of medieval society. They were all going to some sort of clan-wide coming of age ceremony. Slytherin hated muggles because they destroyed his village and killed his family or something.

I can't remember anything else. It's probably been close to a decade since I read it.

Anybody know off hand the fic I'm talking about? I'd like to read it again; see if it's aged well.

It's aged fine, I think. It got into the library maybe a year ago.

 

There is this scene from a story that has been popping up in my mind over the last few days and I don't think it will go away until I read the story.

Harry walks into WWW. He is running from Aurors. Fred and George don't believe it is him. He offers several things only Harry should know but they refute them all. (for example he refers to the Map, and they say Pettigrew could have told him about that) Then he mentions some prank they pulled on him last year at Hogwarts and they agree that it is him.

I don't know if I explained this very well, IIRC it is a very fast (rapid fire dialogue b/w the twins and Harry) and kinda comic scene.

Now, a few things that may or may not be true. Sirius comes back after DoM, either he faked his death or figured out a way to talk to Harry from beyond. They have a conversation in his bedroom at Privet Drive.

Harry may or may not be dead/missing, which may or may not be why Aurors were after him and the twins weren't ready to believe it was him. I think the aurors catch up with him in the Leaky Cauldron but he escapes and then goes to WWW.

It might've been an eventual Harry/Daphne.

Not much to go on I know but hopefully one of you has read this.

 

I've been running into a lot of xovers featuring a completely defanged Harry. So can anyone recommend a decent roflstomp? I'm not looking for solid gold here, something along the lines of Oma's Choice would do nicely.

P.S. I've read almost every DF xover so some other fandom would be nice.
