Maybe it's because I'm effectively an only child, but violating the very essence of the soul by summoning it from the Pure afterlife into the Impure world by sacrificing the life of a living intelligent being seems to be more of the lost wife angle than trying to get back your ten or twelve-year old brother.

Then again, filial piety is huge enough in Japan that Sasuke's rampage over the deaths and injustices towards his family is considered a valid motivation for his actions rather than something to get over and get on with his life means it might actually be true.

 

We know that Izuna, at least, is still alive at this point since we're shown both he and Madara as grown men, each with the MS. I think it's pretty clear that suffering his brothers' deaths is what eventually earned Madara his MS along with his twisted hatred.

This was pretty much how I expected it to play out as soon as we learned how MS was achieved. The fact that both Izuna and Madara had it meant that one or more people close to them both died.

 

Wait are you implying that in whatever country your from it would not have been a valid and logical motivation for Sasuke? he should have just gotten over it?

 

I meant Izuna had probably been born by this point rather than becoming Madara's fifth brother. Whilst we aren't given any ages, the age difference between the two is probably no different than Hashirama and Tobirama's.

 

He's not the first character with hair like that. The jin before B had hair like that as well.

Could be a cousin or something since the Senju were a clan, not just a single nuclear family. But yeah, it's possible Kawarama was a brother. Too much symmetry with Madara would come across as a little forced, though.

Edit: The -rama suffix on his name strongly suggests that he was their brother.

 

I dunno, I immediately thought of Zetsu when I saw him, even though it's Zetsu's skin and not his hair.

 

I liked that the motivation for the Shinobi rules was to minimize conflict rather than to make ninja better killers. It reconciles the backlash the White Fang experienced with what we know about Konoha.

Yeah, I believe Zetsu was all wood clones of the first. The black half of one is from Madara putting his soul or chakra or something like that into it.
