I'm a spectator and have no plans of buying HotS. You're right there, and that doesn't change jack shit about my perspective.

EDIT: And I realize how strange that is.

Yeah, since you haven't played it, you have no idea about balance in it, and the fact is WOL is more balanced than HOTS right now.

That'll be interesting to see, then, because WoL is fucking broken.

That's the funny thing though - statistically, WOL is pretty well balanced.

Shame that didn't translate to good GSLs past the Ro8 (and in this case lead to a pretty catastrophic Ro8).

It'll be interesting to see how HotS goes, in any case. Blizzard should at least try to balance it.

Turns out this was the first season in the history of the GSL that didn't have more terran players than any other race. Pretty sure things are fine.

Sorry about that. I figured most people who still watch would have seen the series by now. :(

In yesterdays science gaming news, the scientists have decided that Terrans are better than zerg and protoss. Go humans ;D

    Found an article here
    http://www.escapistmagazine.com/new...eates-a-Starcraft-II-Galactic-Expansion-Model

Then, fiddled with google for a bit, and the link to the actual pdf of the work in question:
A citizen science colonisation model for the Koprulu Sector in
StarCraft 2, micro Terran to defeat Protoss and Zerg?

Thomas A. Targett, Duncan H. Forgan

Not much to say, just - fun.

p.s. In comparison, the old zombie apocalypse research was slightly more interesting for me.

Err, no? In fact, they don't even require Seige Mode to be researched anymore.

Gamestop called a couple days ago telling me there'd be a launch event!

Went there. No one there. Employees tell me to just come back at midnight for the game.

    Not many e-sports fans in New Mexico. ;_;

I had my ROOT shirt on, my NASL S4 hoodie all set. I was all pumped to tell people about the Barcraft we had at one point (it crashed due to lack of participation over time).

Gonna head back in a bit and prepare for a wait, I guess, still kind of hopeful that some folks will show up and talk Starcraft.

You know, the Groups function is going to be really cool to get local people together. I'm looking forward to that.

Global Play - fuck yes, because that should have been enabled at WoL's launch.

This is going to make custom map playing/creation a fucking God send.
