The italics is enough. I just don't think it will play the out the way you expect it to.

Thumb up. And since this is now halfway out of the bag, might as well say everything.

There are two scum factions, which need to kill each other and the townies. A roleclaiming Molly is a threat to both, but a fakeclaim on their part is a handicap as well, especially compared to the other scumteam. That's because we could lynch them and the other Court could kill them. Who is going to step forward first, then?

Moreover, let's say there's a first Molly-claim? How would each faction know if that first one is the real Molly or the other Court claiming first for WINE benefits? And even if it is Molly, wouldn't it be better to wait it out so it's the other faction that fakeclaims and puts one of its members in danger? But then time passes and oh god why aren't those stupid Reds/Whites fakeclaiming?!

    And so on.

I'm with Stojil on this one as we're thinking the exact same thing.

One thing, is there anyone left to post? I know Riley said if someone doesn't post in the twenty four hours we will just go down to playing with fourteen players. I'm on ny phone and its very hrs to check. Would be brutal if that person was Molly and then we were protecting two scum the rest of the game. Or one acum or whoever came forward and we just assumed that person was Molly. Not likely but wouldn't be fun.

The Red Court Pawn risks nothing by pretending to be Molly, though. He's immune to the White Taint, making their risk limited to a 50/50 shot at killing a townie power roll without even lifting a finger. The reds want as much townie death as fast as possible, so for them, the tradeoff is rather worth it.

Schrodinger is incorrect. The Original Pawn/Thrall are not immune. I stated this on the first page.

Also Aekiel has confirmed and has been sent his QT. He will be joining when he can.

    Edited: because grammar.

Riley, can you not post unless there has been a specific question directed at you and/or it's to announce something really important? The less you post, the better it is. (Voting tallies obviously aside.)

    -----

That aside. I rather like the plan, not least because it does something -- there's an action, there'll be a reaction, and we'll notice all sorts of interesting things.

Hey guys, I figured I'd join in this clusterfuck because I have nothing better to do with my time.

Stojil's plan looks like a good one and does us the favour of pitting the vampire courts against one another. Taking out the Red/White pawn early on leaves the Queen/King weak going into the late game, which is always a plus.

Of course we risk losing Molly early on, which is a definite drawback. I'd propose waiting for Day Two to pull this off. That way we give Molly a chance to check a person (I'm assuming she picks up on White Thralls in this as well) and at least get something out of it if she ends up dying on Night Two. It would also help to judge which is telling the truth through the usual methods.

Very much agree, Molly checks tonight and then explains what they find when they roleclaim. That will give us so much more info to work with.

Stojil, given your plan, I have a question. How would you play things put if you were Dresden, assuming two Mollys roleclaim?

Aekiel's plan sounds better. Since we are throwing Molly under the bus anyway at least get some useful info before we do that. If she RCs tomorrow we will at least town/scumfirm one person and maybe more.

Oh, something I wanted to ask, Stojil.

You seemed surprised that Dresden can protect himself. Does this change anything in particular?

Just returned form uni, so I could not post earlier.

I think that Molly coming out and role-claiming is to risky and doesn't provide enough benefits to consider it. I propose to wait for the next day and maybe Marcone will be lucky this night.

You don't think she should roleclaim EVER?

No. I don't think it would provide any benefits if she roleclaims now. And it's to risky for her - if anybody CC's than Dresden is left with a puzzle of whom to protect, and real Molly run a risk of being either murdered or tainted by the White Court.

So what's your alternative plan? How else are we to win?

Also, I think you might well be scum, but I hope if you were you'd be smarter than this.

Killing all Mollies had not occurred to me. That does seem to fix most of the issues with the plan.

Stojil, do you agree the Dresden should protect himself after all Mollies are dead?

---------- Post automerged at 11:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:05 AM ----------

(Lynching all mollies if and only if someone fakeclaims, that is)

Would Marcone getting lucky tonight even do anything? It doesn't remove the original thralls and there aren't any other thralls/counters to get rid of yet.

I think we should go ahead with Molly claiming, but in the meantime we need to think of a lynch target. I'm currently thinking Castiel.

    Lynch: Castiel

Dresden should protect whoever he thinks is the most valuable town member at risk of a night kill, whether that is himself or someone else.

I'm against lynching any Molly claimants before Day 5 for these reasons:

    1) The vampire court that doesn't counter claim would likely try to out guess Dresden and take out one of the Molly claimants.

    2) The above means that by lynching a Molly we're not hunting other scum.

    3) If the vampires attack the same claimant that Dresden protects it means a wasted night action for them.

    4) The vampire court that doesn't counter claim will want to hit both Molly claimants equally, since it would either be the Red/White Minion or Molly herself. Either is a win for the third court.

So really, it's not in our best interests to lynch either Molly claimant. Best to let the vampire courts fight amongst themselves while we hunt other scum, taking the Mollys' thoughts into consideration while we do so.

This post reads off to me. The first part is fine (well it is basically agreeing with me >_>) but the second part reads like role fishing and/or an attempt to predict what Dresden will do during the night. Given that Stojil came up with this plan and is reading pretty heavily town to me right now, it wouldn't be too strange to think that Dresden would follow his lead if he said anything.

    This.

And this. The plan puts both scum factions in a difficult position. There's only one (ordinary) way a Court could come out reinforced from it, and it only applies to one of the two, anyway: if a Red counterclaims, the Whites gain an advantage against both the vampire cousins and town (and vice versa).

This also raises the odds of no scum fakeclaiming. It's their best response, and at the same time it's great for town.

In a scale of lolgreat, great, okay, bad, horrible, this is how I'd rank the scenarios.

    1) Only real Molly roleclaims: town (great), Whites (bad), Reds (bad).
    2) Molly and a Red claim Molly: town (okay), Whites (great), Reds (horrible).
    3) Molly and a White claim Molly: town (okay), Whites (horrible), Reds (great).
    4) Molly and both Whites and Reds claim Molly: town (lolgreat), Whites (horrible), Reds (horrible).

Scenario 1 is ultimately the most likely and best one overall.

I strongly disagree, to the point where, if I had come up with the plan on Day 2, I wouldn't have proposed it at all, probably. Executing it on day 1 gives a bearable worst-case scenario. Doing it on day 2 gives a crippling worst-case scenario: Molly is lynched (although she would roleclaim to avoid it, obviously, but that could create other problems like a last minute lynch or even a no-lynch) or night-killed by the Reds and we jump down a cliff from day 2 onwards led by the nose by the only fakeclaiming Molly.

It should be either day 1 or nothing, IMO.

I would protect myself (read the last bit for the reason).

That wouldn't even be a townfirm/scumfirm because Molly could still have checked the White King's target (not high odds, but still possible).

Well, a self-targeting Dresden can only be lynched (which is as unlikely as it gets), so it's a bit broken. It shouldn't be like that, IMO.

Am I right in thinking this works because town knows who Dresden is protecting?
