It's been active for months now.

Not to mention, if you bought a SEA version, like I did, you had access to the US and SEA servers.

Aww... Starter edition only allows me to play 1 v AI and terran at that.

I dunno, Marine/Maruader/Seige Tanks + Medivac still seems to work pretty well.

Havent found much use for hellbats. Or the Widow Mine.

Widow mines allow for early expansions into mech: Cheap, strong, and beats early rushes. They blow zerglings, banelings, and zealots to hell.

Hellbats are largely for mech early all-ins onto a greedy opponent (and to provide an alternative to marines in tanking for siege lines, from my limited experience so far.

Concerned over Zerg's ability in competitive play? Life just took down Flash 4-2 in MLG Winter Championship's finals at Dallas.

Still can be concerned I suppose given Life was the only Zerg in the top 8 but Life proving they're not ready to sit down just yet despite Widow Mines & Medivac's with their boosters.

I don't understand how Life does it, Jesus.

He just completely dictates how the game is going to go every time he plays.

personally? I think Flash got tunnel vision in a couple of games. Like that close in map with the two big ramps? He kept on making widow mine after widow mine after widow mine even though after the first few clashes it was clear it was NOT going to work. I swore he was going to pull out tanks but nope just kept pumping out widow mines...

Saw this today and was immensely amused:
    Best Epic Zerg Strategy Ever
(Skip ahead to 0:54 if you want to.)

From last year, so I apologize if it's a repost.

I'm honestly not sure. I went into that series expecting 4:0, and then Soulkey somehow fucking won. I feel like I don't understand anything anymore.

What a comeback. First time I've been to a barcraft for a while. And being Australia, everyone was cheering for the underdog, so the atmosphere was intense!

I'm amazed with Soulkey's decision to cancel the hatch in the 6th game. To be able to calmly do that while being 3 down is nuts. And manually detonation those banelings in between the two bunkers so both got damaged was pretty cool too.

    Artosis Curse.

Innovation should've had that. If he knew how to make a tank he probably would've 4-0'd. All-ins are about the only thing Zerg can do against Terran at the moment when evenly matched, I think. Innovation should've expected all of those. =/

So, I'm finally getting around to doing my SCII Gold custom melee map, and guess what?

Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom, have made it so that if you import the campaign models and units, they override the settings/balance for the multiplayer units and tech tree.

You know, like campaign Swarm Hosts merely holding and spawning, instead of being fully burrowed?

Hell, Terran Barracks even have working buttons and unit data that allows you to build the special mercenary/Sons of Korhal units.

Never had this issue with the WoL campaign assets, so what the fuck went wrong with HotS, Blizzard?

Wild stuff this morning. Good games.

Couple matches in WCS EU ruining my bets, dammit. We'll see how WCS NA goes. Rooting for Scarlett, our last NA hope. :D

Fuckin' lack of region locking. I'm starting to hate Blizzard a little bit.

Oh yeah, this is happening. I've been watching The International.

I did watch Maru vs Rain though. I mean, I'm glad Maru won, but I thought the series wasn't particularly exciting.

Kinda annoyed Maru won. It's good for the kid and all - especially considering how long he's been around - but it's super frustrating to watch Protoss fail every season.

EDIT: And I'm aware of the irony of saying this about a champion losing.

Alright, never cheering for Jaedong after that, holy crap.

I mean, I understand it's legit. And it's a fine strategy to use.

But that crushed my hopes so hard that I've just decided to hate him.

Scarlett & Jaedong were 2-2 in their match, came down to the final 5th game. The Dong 6 pooled and won, knocking the only North American out of the NA WCS RO4.

I didn't watch the games myself, though I did watch her steamroll Alive yesterday. Just read up on it over at Team Liquid, standard 'discussion' going on.
