Yeah, I think Morgan gave Rick a good look at how he'd end up if he didn't get his shit together. I think it gave him a nice kick in the ass, and a strong reminder that he still has the rest of his "family" to look out for and keep him going.

Walker Kill Of The Week was totally Martinez's until Daryl's knife throw won that dick-measuring contest. Good times.

Shit's about to get crazy next week. Exactly how crazy? It was originally titled Killer Within Part 2, as in the sequel to this season's fourth ep where our sweet warrior prince was lain to rest.

You know, despite all the times I've wished that Andrea would just die in past episodes, I was really hoping she'd make it to the prison. :|

All I have to say on this episode is Andrea, you stupid bitch. If you don't verify the kill, the guy's still alive!

And she should have started running when she saw the prison instead of walking normally looking for a happy ending. If the Governor came up behind her and she was really moving, Rick could have popped him with the sniper rifle.

So, Walking Dead game. Should be interesting. Anyone heard much about how closely it follows the series?

This was the first episode, after a long time, where I didn't hate her or want someone to machete her head off. I remembered that in the first (best) season she wasn't so whiny.

I'm assuming she was tired as hell after running/walking for several hours through forest/countryside and just didn't have the strength to run into the prison or scream out. But, yes always make sure the person is dead before thinking you're free to run around.

I'm feeling a little sympathetic to her now that the governor put out the thread and needle on the torture table. They have to kill some people for the finale though so she might die?

Maybe because he carried the keys on him?

Although, she should have at least searched the truck for weapons or used her little knife to try to puncture the tires.

The warehouse (?) scene was seriously great. Music, props, all built up the tension. And, say what you will about Andrea, she was pretty badass in this episode. I also hoped she'd make it to the prison...

Does anyone else think Tyreese will end up in Rick's group at the end of the season?

Next episode will finish setting the stage for the finale. They have built up a lot of tension, I'm thinking that there will be at least 4 character deaths/write offs.

    SWEET. BABY. JESUS.

Rick got humble. Glenn poped the question. The Governor showed he's fucking walker status by ripping fingers off with his teeth. And Merle? Listens to Motorhead.

Zombie kill of the Week? Michonne with the piano wire death garrote decapitation... of death.

What a great episode. I'm glad Merle let Michonne go. I watch this show with my family and things would have gotten a bit too rapey if Michonne was actually delivered (a la the comics).

    Gahhh
Merle was a porcupine, he just wanted to be loved! But seriously, I'm glad he made the right decision in the end.

Walker Kill Of The Week to Michonne, with that makeshift decapitation via garrote. Seriously kickass. Rest of the episode was awesome too, and the ending was appropriately heartbreaking (Motherfucking acting awards all 'round, seriously). Gah, finale next week, just know shit's gonna get even worse and half the group's gonna bite it. My body is not ready.

    Good closer for the season.

Guv'nor went off the rails completely. Dropped a hot load of brass into his wannabe soldiers when they didn't commit to the mission.

Did anyone else think that Carl killing that kid was actually reasonable despite being questionable? I mean it would be one thing if he had dropped the gun as Herschel told him to, but instead even though he appeared to be surrendering he was still advancing on Carl and definitely had a longer reach. In that situation and with no knowledge of who you're dealing with it would be difficult to determine whether its a ploy to disarm you or someone that's surrendering in an idiotic manner. Carl's reasoning was different but the underlying concept(sparing people in questionable scenarios leading to friends dying) wasn't far off the mark. It actually reminded me of the scene earlier in the season where Merle captured Glenn and Maggie. Sort of bothered me that the show portrayed it as being black and white.

Other things that bothered me a bit were how Martinez went along with the Governor after he killed everyone rather than putting a bullet in his head as soon as he put his hands on the wheel, and that it didn't even seem to be a consideration to move everyone into Woodbury instead of moving everyone from Woodbury into the prison. I really felt like it could have used a scene to explain how that decision as well as convincing the people of the town to come occurred, though I suppose that would have taken a bit out of the final scene. Hopefully they go into those details in the first episode of season four.

Overall I actually really liked the episode, those small points just bothered me a bit. I thought they did just about everything else well including how the Governor flipped out after things went south and the entire subplot with Andrea and Milton. Sort of disappointed that they're both dead but I think they went out well, particularly Milton.

Carl's actions were understandable, especially from his point of view. Everyone Rick doesn't kill does end up biting them in the ass. Killing the kid might have seemed harsh, but was it safer for the group in the long run? Yeah.

However, the Governor had this exact same thought process. At the start of the season a lot of his actions really could be looked on as for the safety of his town, but as it progressed, the Governer saw everything and everyone as a threat, and this might have been Carl's first step into that direction. Plus Carl's actions allowed Rick to see just where he was heading towards as well, since he was beginning to take up the same philosophy. If Carl didn't shoot that kid, I don't think Rick would have allowed what's left of the town to join them.

One of the the original crew was bound to die in this episode, and I'm actaully really glad that it was Andrea. I actually thought it was going to be Maggie when she took off her helmet and walked into the open after the trucks drove away. Like there couldn't have been anyone left behind to get a head shot in.

Putting a spoiler in case someone forgot it aired tonight.

    Takeaways:

-Carl is honey badger status. He just don't give a shit and will cap you because reasons.
-The Governor: When you need to kill every motherfucker in the room.
-Lucid!Rick is kind of a pussy compared to season one.

    Zombie Kill of the Week:
Andrea killing herself, fuck that bitch. Also baaaaaaaaaaw!Milton.

    Bring on Season 4!

There's always the beginning of next season! 'Cause that prison's gonna fall within the first eight episodes, I'm calling it. Probably get in a nice sneaky love triangle or two before it goes, have a nice a wedding, and maybe a visit from Abraham's group/a herd of very angry walkers to boot. Meanwhile, The Governor is totally gonna go off and become king of the cannibals. That would be brilliant. Bonus points if he manages to get an arm eaten off for his troubles. So many possibilities, so little time... No wait, a lot of time.

    Is it October yet?
