Not sure what I'm looking forward to most, a father son moment with Naruto or the First and his awesome personality/dialogue everywhere else.

Well, and the awesome fights of course.

I think I'm getting why Minato's Hiraishin is so special. Any time we've seen someone else use it, it's required three other people some time to transport one person once (presumably using a ton of chakra, too). This probably means that it was developed as a way to get emergency high-caliber shinobi support to battlefields, or as a means of escape for VIP dignitaries (daimyo escape plan).

Minato took that and turned it into a technique he can use for himself, by himself, instantly and multiple times in quick succession. No lengthy preparation, no support, just insta-spam death. THAT would definitely cement his status as a Hokage.

Compared to the other ones, yes he tends to come up a bit short compared to juggernauts like Hashirama. But Hashi seems to be a brute-force type shinobi who uses massive jutsu, while Minato uses minimal force to achieve his goals. On the other hand though, given the massive power creep we have seen thus far, it's likely that we are going to see Minato pull off some super-jutsu we hadn't heard about before. Also, now that Sarutobi is a zombie and no longer held back by his aging body, we should see some awesome shit now. Fingers crossed.

You'd have a point...except you don't. Sasuke hasn't killed anyone on Konoha's side except Danzo--whose death probably earned him a medal, given all the trouble that dude cause. Besides Danzo, he killed a few Samurai that nobody cares about.

Yes, that means Sasuke's current kill count on the good guy's side is...-3? He killed Danzo and brought back the four strongest shinobi Konoha has ever seen. I'd call that a nice trade, personally.

You what? Hell, let's look at every single thing Sasuke's done while evil. It might surprise you.

Went around beating up Orochimaru's experiments, most of whom were already free.

Killed Deidara, an S-rank nukenin who opposed Konoha.

Killed Itachi, sorta, though he was dying of disease.

Attacked the Kage Meeting, eventually killing Danzo and indirectly uniting the five nations because of the attack. In the process, he killed a few samurai, no one cares about, and stabbed Karin, who even less people care about.

He woke up after getting Itachi's eyes and killed some Zetsu.

Then he meet Itachi and followed him to Kabuto, who he helped fight, resulting in the destruction of the Zombie Army and saving countless lives in the process.

Then he traveled to Konoha and resurrected the four Hokage.

That's post-TS Sasuke. For all his supposed goal to destroy Konoha, he has aided and protected it at every turn, to the point where I could probably make a decent argument that Sasuke has done more for Konoha then anyone but Naruto.

(And since, again, he just resurrected Konoha's strongest warriors during it's time of greatest need, maybe not even then.)

So yeah, that's horrible guy you're talking about.

He is talking about Orochimaru I think.

    Edit- or not, carry on.

... When you put it like that, no wonder those two Konoha mooks thought he was still a Konoha shinobi.

That *shouldn't* happen. Edo Tensei appears to resurrect persons from the state they were in when they died. Remember Nagato? His zombie was all crippled and white-haired before he started absorbing lifeforce.
Sarutobi shouldn't be able to function any more nimbly than he did when he died. He'll have effectively unlimited chakra though and an indestructible body...those should count for something.

Unlimited chakra means that he won't have to conserve and can bring out his awesome stuff.

Which leads me to question, why did Kabuto revive Nagato as a cripple, but revived Madara even beyond what he was in his prime?

Didnt they say they experimented with Madara's body or DNA ages ago an thats how they learned the Sharingan evolved into Rinnegan?

Maybe he had access to Madaras body to fix it but not Nagatos

I'm disappoint that the flashback didn't continue, I was excepting that Hashirama would explain what happened to the Sebju clan. Nonetheless it's nice to see that Tobirama wasn't a complete asshole towards the Uchiha.

Hopefully we will see good fights in the coming chapters.

I don't like Karin at all, She tarnishes the good name of Uzumaki just by existing. Her very existance is pointless waste.

Damn it I had Uzumaki as awesome guys in my mind and she comes and shatters all of my dreams.

    Bitch.

Well, Kishi has to appease all the Fem!Naruto/Sasuke fangirls somehow. Better this than the more... literal alternative.

Eh. Keep in mind that this is the list of the Uzumaki clan, as is:

Naruto, who eventually because a badass.

Kushina, who was kidnapped as a kid, kidnapped as an adult, and then died in a pretty damn lame way. Her artificially constructed clone had a few cool moments, to be fair.

Mito who used to be sort of cool when we thought she took down the Kyuubi, but in fact Hashirama basically did everything himself. She did basically nothing that we know of.

Karen--who I don't know why anyone expected anything cool from, since she was pathetic from the very beginning.

Nagato who was cool and badass and shit, but only because of Madara's eyes. Without the Rinnegan, he was nothing--his Uzumaki heritage contributed basically nothing besides letting him use the Rinnegan.

Every other Uzumaki, whose village was rolled over like it was nothing and who were forced to run and hide.

So the list of known Uzumaki badasses goes like this. Naruto and maybe Kushina. Maybe. Her clone had its moments but she herself largely seemed to get kidnapped and need to be rescued--and dying stupidly, of course.

People thought that? Not sure where that impression came from.

Edit: And you forgot Tsunade, though she cheated by being half-Senju.

Not really. Only her grandmother was a Uzumaki as far as I know--and given that she was raised as a Senju, I consider her more one of them then a Uzumaki, especially since, well, none of the things that make her strong have anything to do with the Uzumaki.

What does Naruto have that makes him strong because he's an Uzumaki? The healing ability, sure, but the only reason his is so much better than the other Uzumaki is because of Kurama. Besides that, what does he get from his blood?

You can say that there weren't a lot of badass Uzumaki, but you can't say that the ones that were badass don't count because they didn't abuse a non-existent bloodline.

All I can think at this moment is that a majority of the Uzumaki were artsy folk who liked to draw(sealing) and collected kabuki masks.

Absurdly massive chakra. Every Uzumaki clan member we've seen has had over and above the norm when it comes to raw power, starting with Mito who was able to seal and contain the Kyuubi throughout her life. This is in contrast to clans like the one in Kumo, who despite having a powerful lineage, apparently has consistently failed to contain the like of the Hachibi time and time again.

It was so very important that an Uzumaki contain the Kyuubi that they sent for Kushina to take up the job when Mito was about to die. On top of that, what Kushina was able to do in a near-death state is still one of the most impressive things we've seen in the manga.

Nagato still ranks as, if not the top, then still in the top 3 of most raw-powered heavy hitters. We know that the Sharingan, despite doing almost everything else, does not conserve or increase chakra. The same should then be true of the Rinnegan, and therefore while we know the Rinnegan was a tool given to Nagato, it was Nagato's own chakra muscle that gave it power.

Karin may be called an outlier, but can anyone here say she doesn't have massive chakra? We have no idea what sort of chakra toll her healing abilities take on her, though compared to other healers we've seen, given its speed, it may be very high. And just because Karin doesn't have any heavy-hitting jutsu doesn't prove that she doesn't have the same exceptional chakra that every other Uzumaki we've seen seems to have. Karin manages to bounce back rather quickly from everything she's been through, and also seems to have rather exceptional physical power despite not employing that as part of her fighting style.

I would really love to know more about the Uzumaki clan, because frankly no other clan listed in the manga has been as consistently awesome as they have.
