I didn't have much problem with the dirt road race with sportscars, or Zero's mission, and flight school only took me like four days (which I understand is pretty normal), but sweet dear mother of god any mission that requires you to have the car you're in be untouched is almost impossible for me. Like that one where you have to kidnap the fucking rapper's manager and send him off a pier. Shit sucked.

Trailer looks awesome. Trevor's part was my favorite. Micheal seems a little bit like Tony Soprano.

Can't fucking wait for this game. If they don't fucking release it for PC at the same time as Xbox or PS3, I'll be so fucking mad.

 

At this point, you'll be lucky to have the port at all, let alone having it be playable. To be completely honest, I'd rather just get it for PS3 rather than taking my chances with may-or-may-not-be-dodgy computer controls. Assassin's Creed series says hi.

 

Of course they wont. I can't even remember the last time a GTA game had the PC as an initial release platform - maybe never.

That's when you plug a gamepad into your PC. I use an XBox 360 controller.

Just pre-ordered the PS3 version. And my, the gameplay trailer looks pretty awesome.

It looks interesting but I will till its really out (not that it is difficult considering that I don´t own a console). I fear that it will make the same mistake the last GTA did... Have a deep, serious story that doesn´t really mix with the not so serious gameplay. I like a more lighthearted tone in such games and not a constant reminder how evil the world is.

 

All GTAs looked fantastic to me at their release - and I buy them all - but i play them for 5 hours and never play them again.

I guess I'm like that with sandbox-y games. The second the story bores me I lose interest. When I lose interest, I just move on and never come back to it.

 

I'll probably buy this, since the last GTA game that really entertained me for a long time was San Andreas. Despite all the innovations in this game, I doubt it will be able to match that 90s Compton atmosphere that San Andreas had, which I thought was great fun.

 

All of the GTA games I've played so far have been with mouse and keyboard on PC - do you think it'd be worth the wait to hold off and stick to what I'm used to, or say to hell with it and grab it for PS3 on release? If it comes out within a few months, I think I could wait and find something else to play, but I'd rather not wait 8 months to a year.

 

Well seeing as if you wanted to wait for Red Dead to be on PC you're still waiting, and I haven't heard any mention of a pc port (probably won't be a pc version, just a shitty port of the console) I think the only reason to wait for pc is if you're sure you'll want modded gameplay...

 

Ok I simply have to ask. Is nobody here playing GTA or has nobody here who plays it enough free time to write a bit about?

I heard a lot of positive stuff about it but the same was true for the 4th and I disliked that one. So how is the GTAV compared to its earlier incarnations? Has it more humour, believable female characters, entertaining quests and characters. And what are its short comings?
