Soooo I have no idea how I haven't heard of this before but apparently this is going to be League of Legends with DC comic book heroes and villains. I just stumbled across an ad for it on Mobafire and apparently it has an open beta going on right now so Im going to give it a whirl. The list of Champions they have available so far looks a lot more extensive than I would have given them credit for too, ranging from Doomsday to Steampunk Catwoman.

This actually looks pretty cool. Seems to basically be LoL Dominion with items from Smite(i.e. only upgrade items, no combining). And you get to be Batman.

 

I don't see Batman on the champion list though, besides that vampire batman.

So before I start looking through videos and gameplay details I'm going to ask you guys. Is there any real reason to play Infinite crisis over LoL or Dota 2 other than the fact that its entirely based on DC?

 

Not really. Except, y'know, superheroes.

 

Well I have no idea how well they're going to hold to it but if they actually stick to what they're claiming under the Game Info section then yes. Direct use of the environment in combat, random events directly altering the map and gameplay during combat and an evolving storyline in the game as opposed to one that gets told offscreen primarily.

Also Steampunk Batman.

My friend got in and I really really hate him for it. I watched him play Gaslight Joker for a bit and after he backhanded Wonder Woman through a tanker truck he killed her with a combination of rotting ham and magic rats.

I want this game.

 

I'm in the beta. It's pretty decent, plays like a dream when it works, but when it doesn't, the lag is horrendous. Also, wtb downwards camera scrolling. (Not even joking, you physically cannot move your mouse to the bottom edge of the screen to scroll the camera down)

 

Really? I didn't notice that when I watched my friend my play. I hope they fix that.

 

Bump. I finally got accepted to the beta. I would have gone to the American server, but I figured that the European would have less lag. If anyone is also in the beta and in this server, let me know.

I also have a PAC, if anyone wants it.

 

Oh, I'd like the PAC. I'd love to give this a try.

Seems to be a pretty awesome idea, just signed up for the BETA, hope I get an invite soon.

 

I'm in the beta, but haven't been able to fix my fps problems. I literally get <10 fps, which makes the game entirely unplayable I've tried everything I could think of to boost fps, but I'm pretty sure it's not my hardware's fault -- I've never had fps problems like this before, on any game.

Either way, the game looks pretty cool but I can't play it.

 

Loving this. I have no clue what I'm doing, and some champions seem utterly broken (Gaslight Catwoman mostly, I won 1v3 by button smashing with no clue.) But damn, I have great fun even when I'm getting stomped and the other people in the beta seem cool.

And more importantly, this game, in closed beta, is a lot more stabile for me and I've had absolutely no problems at all, while in LOL I need to restart the client at least after every game to keep it working even decently.

So, I'm enjoying the fuck out of this.
