I have a dream regarding LoL lately, that being that one day, there'll be more AD carries than Blue-Ezreal and Caitlyn in bot lane. As an aggressive support player, it's infuriating. I almost miss the holy-trinity of ADC's in bot lane. Almost.

 

I play Sivir and Tristana, with the occasional Draven when I just want to crush fools. I share your dream.

 

How do neither of you see the plague of Varus'.

 

The only Varus I've had to face in the last month rushed Nashor's Tooth and focused more on shit talking than CSing. I guess EUW Silver doesn't have a lot of Varus players.

No but really, I just never see Varus'. He's probably the least played ADC next to Sivir in my division. I don't get why as he's next on my 'to buy' list when he's on sale or I get 6300 IP again, whichever comes first. I honestly don't get why either, like, he has insane CC and does % life off the bat - I guess it's down to your confidence to land skillshots & not fuck up as you have 0 escapes.

As a Leona main it's a happy day when I see the enemy team pick Varus. No, but, I dunno either Bill. I honestly don't.

 

Varus has comparatively restrictive mana costs and no escapes outside ulting someone and running.

Also, Ezreal's now back to being a bitch again and I'm tempted to ban him every time. Especially when he's paired with fucking thresh or someone equally annoying.

Thank god Xerath gives no fucks and still nukes his face off.

 

I'm EUW silver as well. He's not as played as Caitlyn, but in the alst few weeks I've been seeing him as often as ez or MF.

 

Must be Division based then, the last Varus I saw was 2~ weeks ago and we destroyed him in lane which led to the standard demoralising flame war that often engulfs teams and causes the loss.

 

Huh. Well I'm in EUNE and Varus gets lots of love in the Silver division. Hell, he's one of the main reasons I went up three divisions.

 

I'm in silver IV NA and I've seen a ton of Varus players in the last few weeks. Recently, he seems to be less common, but for a while, I was seeing Varus played more than Caitlin.

 

Seen a new trend amongst junglers lately, seems to be you destroy the only AD damage on the enemy team, and then your jungler builds bothing but armor & hp, meanwhile the poor support who isn't getting any global objectives because your jungler stacked in armor keeps gatting caught out is forced to build it, by which point you're down 3 inhibs and the jungler's wondering why you're losing.

3 Games this morning, 3 games it's happened. DID see a Sivir though, but she got rolled because Nidalee support is kinda... meh. My Leona stats have taken a pounding though, I was at 72% a few weeks ago, not even checked now but I've had at least 8 losses since then without a win.

 

What were they... 1 Lee Sin, a Zac and I think a Blitz? I'd have to check my history. The Blitz was crazy good, just tried to go damage ala qtpie's stream the other night.

Oh well. Won a game, jumped from 73lp to my Gold promo series. My MMR just be stupidly high despite my losing streaks lately as I've been losing 13 - 17lp per game but getting 22+ for every win.

Edit; Oh, the game I won they had a Varus/Janna combo and thanks to our jungler forcing double flashes at level 1 we rolled the lane. Janna was still level 7 at 22 minutes, finished the game 0/8/7.

Halle-fucking-lujah for the Caitlyn and Varus nerfs and removal of defensive buffs on Elise's spider-form.

Still don't think the Nami buffs are gonna cut it although now I want to try jungle Nunu, something I haven't really wanted to before as I don't see myself as a big counter-jungler, though I could do with the practise.

But honestly, the best change? Rammus' taunt can no longer target minions! As someone who forgets about the 'target champion only' key day in, day out, it's a god send... for when I eventually feel like trying Rammus again.

I also wasn't aware we even got bonus armor/mr when we disconnect/don't connect to a game. Makes sense, but, wow.

 

Zed nerfs make me happy.

Also, custom item sets, hurray. Now the recommendations won't be simply an exercise in futility.

 

I spent like an hour playing around with the custom item sets. They were, simply, a godsend. It's nice being able to have your own items right away without searching for things.

 

I really don't miss the days of Gangplank and Karthus getting free kills every time their ult was off cooldown. It just added insult to the 4v5 you were already suffering.

 

Sigh, why did they have to lower Varus's movement speed? He already doesn't have any escapes besides trying to ult and running away. At least Piercing Arrow got buffed I guess.

 

If he was in range to get railed on without anyone to help him escape, then there can only be two conclusions drawn:

1) Varus is going to murder that moron because he's fed enough to not give a fuck any more.

2) Varus is a retard that got caught and is about to be murdered.
