Calling it now though, Sasuke shows up and Naruto calls him out on the lack of hatred he has now like Nagato mentioned to him when he ran into him & Itachi. "You're expression" or something like that. Kishi has a habit of repeating awesome scenes context like that.

 

Wouldn't have to be his expression, since Naruto has a built-in hate detector in the form of Kurama's cloak. Which, now that I think about it, could be the entire reason Kishi included that ability in the first place.

 

Minato controlling the kyubi seemed pretty cool, although after all Naruto went through to do that, kinda seemed a bit cheap.

Well the story is about, The Legend of Uchiha Sasuke: The Last Uchiha.

Yondaime having the same mode as Naruto's KCM? Sasuke saying he wants to be Hokage? NaruSaku shipping even now after all that NaruHina jazz? The fuck is this shit.

Although props for having Sakura fight. And I loved that Madara/Hashirama conversation. Truly beautiful.

 

Haha, to be fair, the NarutoSakura stuff was probably to keep it open, he tends to ship one, and then switch to the other.

Yondaime probably had it as he sealed half of the chakra without the spirit inside of himself, although he learned to control it pretty quick, and it makes Narutos whole struggle pretty worthless, bad fathering too, when he couldve just sealed the chakra in Naruto without the spirit

 

Yeah, this chapter was just horrible in my view.

First there is Minato and his BM (or KCM? whatever). Naruto struggled horribly all throughout his life to get that. First fighting Kurama one on one in his mind, and then managing to make peace with him.

And here comes Minato who apparently learned what took Naruto years in the time it took Hashirama to tell his little story. Its disappointing because it basically makes all that Naruto fought and struggled for look like a silly joke. Not to mention that since Minato both older and far more skilled than Naruto, him having KMC/BM basically makes Naruto utterly obsolete. Its also disappointing that until now, Minato was one of the few characters that did not have some unique super-bloodline like Uchiha/Senju or some connection to the Sot6P but was still strong. No longer, he is a perfect jinchuuriki now.

Then there was Sasuke with his "I will become the hokage" bullshit. This is the guy who BETRAYED the village and joined an enemy that killed Sandaime. This is the guy who did his best to capture Bee so the akatsuki could feed him to the statue. This is the guy who attacked an international summit, murdered innocent bystanders (the samurai) and attacked the leaders of all the other nations.

Oh, and he was more than willing to destroy Konoha if not for Hashiramas speech, including apparently all the innocents who had nothing to do with anything. Amusing that he is going to "change things", when his mindset was just like that of Danzo who murdered all the innocents among uchiha who had nothing to do with anything.

I can accept Sasuke being accepted back to the village, but if he actually becomes its leader after everything he has done, then this manga will be so pathetically stupid that its hard to even put it into words.

sigh.

 

I dont think that will happen, the Itachi flashback implied the hokage is chosen by the people.

 

Now that I think about it, "the people" don't have a problem with Sasuke. Some guy wanted to give him a medal or something for killing Itachi, despite being a missing-nin. The K12 and some close associates are the ones with a negative opinion on him.

Edit: But I don't really think it matters, tbh. I can't see Sasuke becoming Hokage at all.

 

Thing is, I can understand why Sasuke would want to be Hokage. He wants to change Konoha into something that will not repeat the sins of its past and for that, one has to be Hokage, so, it isn't really hard to believe. If he considers changing sides back to Konoha, this seems to be the next step.

However, that doesn't mean he should become Hokage and I really, really doubt he would since that has been Naruto's goal all along and it would be incredibly unbelievable if Sasuke were to get that position over Naruto. Only way I can see that happen is if Naruto becomes the overlord of all five villages or something, changing the way of shinobi forever while Sasuke becomes the leader of Konoha, to change it.

Minato making all of Naruto's "struggles" meaningless didn't really disturb me since, to be honest, all of Naruto's struggles were meaningless to begin with. He pretty much learned everything of worth in one or two days, the longest probably being Rasengan which took a week. Oh no, his two weeks of intense training from which he gained unreasonable amount of strength has been undermined.

That said, I agree that I liked Minato more before he had this dumb kyuubi mode thing, it just plain sucks as a technique and is rather boring since it just makes one faster, stronger and better. No real imagination there. He really should have been left as the badass he was.

The whole Sakura thing was grating. While I like that she wants to fight, it annoys me that she thinks that she can fight at the same level as those two. Not because she is female but because Naruto was, before the yondaime and Shodai entered the field, pretty much the strongest guy out there, and their enemy is on that level. Sasuke is going to struggle hard to make a meaningful contribution and he is probably of similar strength as a "normal" Kage (a non Hokage). The difference between Sasuke and Naruto right now is about as big as between Kakashi and the Yondaime. And the difference between Sakura and Sasuke is probably the same as that. Dunno how Sakura is going to do something there. There are battles where ones presence is more of a hindrance than a contribution and refusing to realize that is just aggravating.

About the shipping, well, it is as bad as everything else Kishi has made. The arbitrary comparison between Kushina and Sakura is shallow, unbelievable and annoying and he will beat that like a dead horse until he is going to make another Hinata moment. Whatever happens at the end will be unbelievable and badly handled anyway.

Overall, meh chapter.

Moment between Shodai and Madara was cool, since it made this whole situation seem as if Madara was doing some zany shenanigans again and Shodai has to take care of it.

By the way, did every Hokage know how to use the Hiraishin somehow? They really learned a lot of techniques the ten minutes it took them to walk over there, didn't they? Or did they share the techniques in the Shinigami's belly?

I mean, I can understand why the Sandaime would know it, if those three clowns had learned it, so did he, but the rest?

I am assuming this; I think Sakura was the only one who knew about Danzo declaring Sasuke's Missing Nin status, on account of his actions in Kumo. Through which she told it to the Rookie 9, and they kept this information to themselves.

Thus Sasuke's Heroic deeds in fighting Madara? Promotes him from Genin to Hokage.

 

It was implied the second hokage knew it about 5 chapters ago, and the third hokage was once said to know every ninjutsu like years ago, so I guess its possible.

 

Madara's face when he talks with Hashirama is hilarious, I am looking forward to their fight immensely.

 

Where is Konohamaru in this entire war anyway? did he die?

 

I got the impression that the genin got left behind. Or perhaps all the genin under a certain age along with whoever would be more useful in the village than at war.

So much stuff happened. Lively chapter for sure, but also so much stupid.
