EU took an early lead in game 1 against Korea before just getting flattened wherever they went due to bad positioning, being caught out by InSeC on Lee Sin or just generally not gelling well as a team when it came to fighting, probably due to the poor amount of time they actually spent training as a cohesive, functioning team due to all kinds of screw ups, though NA didn't fair much better in that regard and they performed better IMO.

Game 2 was just a show of EU looking like they didn't give a shit and getting rolled over by Korea, never came close to anything looking remotely like a play you'd expect from the caliber of players on the EU All Star team.

ARAM's have been fairly terrible tonight... 1/8 out of 9 games, I mis-counted earlier. So many CC heavy teams, it was pretty depressing for a while doing nothing but reviving, getting CC'd and dying again.

They're toning her way down soon, and I remember a red saying somewhere they're going to reduce the range of her claw. That free flash she gets is bullshit. Typical Riot stuff, release an OP champ, then nerf them down a month or two later after everyone has rushed to buy them.

I see what you were saying about Varus now though, I got him in ARAM earlier, that bitch is awesome built right. I had him at something like 300 AD, 2.1 AS. With Hurricane and Shiv I was freaking blowing through the entire team like they weren't there at all. Still not as good as my Ashe, but close.

What pissed me off the most about her is the hand flash in, stuns the adc with the ulti, ring of frost roots whomever else is nearby, hits hourglass, then uses summoner flash to get out, shoots ice shard behind to slow, then uses hand flash to get out clean if she has any CD reduction at all. It's impossible to catch her ass if someone playing her knows anything at all about her.

Event 1: Doublelift wants to beat the "smug Asians"
Event 2: Doublelift goes 0-5 and NA surrenders at the 20 minute mark

    edit:

The second game, while not quite as bad for NA just generally made me sad for my region.

How the hell did EU lose to this team? Complete trash in terms of comps, matchup, and tactical decisions.

Because we played arguably worse, I'd argue EU had the poorest performance of any team there, NA looked really impressive at points despite getting ultimately beaten in both their matches, EU just... I'm not really sure why as NA & Eu had around the same amount of training time but EU were just a disaster in the teamfights - I imagine they lacked a shot caller as I'm fairly certain none of the players we voted for make the calls.

We selected five players with great individual skill, but seemingly little cohesion. From what I've seen, it looked like they tried to become Gambit, only SoaZ doesn't really fit into Gambit's playstyle whilst Yellowpete got so much harrassment for getting caught out of position when sometimes, he just got wrecked before he could react - See InSeC's amazing Lee Sin play in I think game 2 where he just wrecked Pete's positioning inside half a second.

I'm glad that the region that won did as I was thinking to myself it was odd that they weren't the favourites going into it given recent performances. Ultimately I'm annoyed at the event though as they pushed forward the schedule on day 2 AND day 3 - I went to bed early to get up in time to watch the finals as I'd been travelling all day to see a friend - Woke up when the grand finals were scheduled to start only to see a montage of scenes from the final as the event closed. Thank god for the youtube stream basically being a Live VoD, even if the event had already been spoiled for me.

Was the SEA vs China game worth watching? It's the only match I haven't watched despite knowing the results, was kind of hoping it would be at least close, as every match seemed like a stomp regardless of the teams involved.

Also, new cinematic! Shezza in particular should like it, I'm stuck between whether I like the first battle more, or the transition into the second, both are pretty awesome and I'd love to see more of these - A Twist of Fate.

I liked the action in the (unfinished, unreleased) Dominion cinematic more, but the quality of this new one is a huge step up. Pretty impressive.

That Nocturne should be ashamed of himself. Ulti and dies by a Ryze one-two combo.
