I personally liked the interaction between Harry and Stannis, cause in Stannis eyes Harry did the right thing by seeing the punishment through and I feel like Stannis respects Harry more for being - I don't exactly know how to put this - Robert's true son. Most stories you read Stannis seems to subconsciously know Robert's kids aren't his and treats them kinda like shit, but I feel like here Stannis more than just tolerates Harry cause he's a true heir of Robert's.

I can undestand Renly being a cunt and trying to steal away the throne, but Imma be sad if Stannis tries to take what belongs to Harry.

I felt the same way, I think while she won't openly show it through emotion, we might see through some actons how Harry in her eyes has shifted slightly, defending her from the most powerful man in the kingdom? Yeah, that shows loyalty right there, and nobody has done that for her before, even Ned Stark has seen Robert strike her before and done nothing.

Speaking of- does that mean Cersei could use the whole Harry has black hair thing as her defense against the claims of incest? Like "Only Harry took after their father" and then Ned's argument goes out the window?

I'm curious who will be loyal to who in the future, Stannis went for the throne because he felt it was his right, but with Harry in the picture makes me wonder if he'll stand by him or try to eliminate him. Also Renly etc.

 

It's going to Joffrey until something fucks up Westeros and he dies or Joffrey fucks up Westeros and he gets killed.

Harry's birth fixes a lot of problems in the series. Jon Arryn doesn't need to get murdered because Harry's Robert's son. Thus, Ned gets to live and everything changes ad infinitum.

What I'm really excited for is when Jon asks for more reinforcements at the Wall and how badly Joffrey will handle the Others.

 

Harry's birth doesn't fix any problems. Joffrey is still a bastard, and if the King found out, Cersei would still die.

 

Moreover, the Lannisters are still power hungry scheming sons of whores.

There are tons of Lannisters. The only really power obsessed ones I can think of are Cersei and Joffrey. Maybe Tywin, but I always saw him as more about making the family name untarnished and prestigious after his father made it a laughing stock more than a personal desire for power and control.

Kevan for instance is the very opposite of power hungry.

I don't know game of thrones that well, but how many years is this before start of canon? How old will Harry be when Ned Stark gets to the city?
