Then there's Maggy's "prophecy" to Cersei, which should be immediately relevant to this story. Does author have a plan for that?

Now am really curious, what would you consider an exceptional read, fanfiction wise, and assuming that you consider it technically good, what other fics do you consider better?

I'm unsure, are you calling me a hipster?

There may have been some stories that I'd consider as such as such in the past. I highly doubt they'd rate as high for me now a days.

Nothing concrete, just an assumption which could turn out to be incorrect, especially since you now asked that question. It was based on the fact that he has the memories of a two hundred year old man that was presumably a one woman guy, and that he thought to himself in the whore house that he doubted he'd ever pay for it. Going to prostitutes seemed like the most common and acceptable thing for Lords to do on the side in Westeros. But he's only nine so I'm sure that's all subject to change.

On Harry/Sansa, it definitely seems like Harry fits her wet dream. But would she fit his? I think Harry might want a woman with more independence and fierceness than I remember her having in the early books. Although if it's a political marriage he wouldn't have a choice and I'm sure once she learns he likes his women to voice their true thoughts she'd be more forthcoming. But yeah, they'd probably end up being happy together, and where's the drama in that?

On Daenarys, she probably already hates Harry and wants him dead as he's the son of the "Usurper", plus Harry might want to kill one of her dragons for its heartstring which she'd object to. Hard to see this marriage happening. Maybe she'd go for it if 1) she somehow gets to know Harry personally and 2) Harry finds something else he intends to use as a wand core and so doesn't want to kill one of her dragons.

On Maggy's prophecies to Cersei, I kind of hope they simply didn't happen in this world, at least not the one about her children. Or they can just not come true in the obvious ways or at all.

Speaking of prophecies, I was wondering if the author might have Jon Snow not exist since
a lot of people think he's the Prince that Was Promised and/or Azor Ahai, but judging from the story's title Harry will be filling that role.
Plus things would go a lot worse on the Wall without him, and that could make things more challenging for Harry.

I think the easiest way is to make them less obvious.

And since they suggested that Cersei will not have any children with Robert, Harry's presence is already affecting them.

I think it would be interesting if he actually learned about them since he is kind of an expert with the prophecies and could explain to his mother that usually they are self-fulfilling. By hating her younger brother for what he may do in the future she is actually giving him a reason to do just that.

Cue Cersei suddenly trying to be the best big sister in the world and Tyrion who has no idea what to think about it. ;)

    Well...

It depends on how you read it. One could make a case that Harry is one of Robert's sixteen, and that Maggy merely said how many each of them would have.

Ok, then what would you consider a 5 now? I'm asking because I think the story is brilliant and if there's something better, and I've hopefully never read it, then I would have something really good to read.

I've not rated any as such in a long while.

4/5 isn't a bad rating, tbh it's one of the better stories I've read lately. I do like some of Neoalfa's more recent FSN stories.

I wouldn't call them better, because he certainly makes mistakes, but they entertain me.

I'm really curious about what makes this story a 4/5 for you, and not a 5/5. Maybe if you provide more insight, the story could be improved.

I doubt my personal preferences could in any way make the story better in general. I would have preferred there be no rape but given the setting I suppose it wasn't unexpected. Harry's age is also a bit off putting imo but I can put up with it.

I suppose having differing opinions makes one a hipster these days?

Edit: Anyways, I'll stop cluttering the thread until I have something worth saying pertaining to the fic.

I can't believe you're bitching that somebody had the audacity to rate this story something other than 5/5. Here's an idea, maybe he just didn't like it as much as you?

There's some story in the Wba, can't remember the name, that people here love. I hate it. Can't put my finger on why. I just don't like it.

4/5 is a really good rating. Deal with it.

On topic, I feel like you've captured the essence of AsoIaF really well. Cersei, Jaime, Tyrion, etc., all sound like they should, and you've built up a really interesting premise. Despite the word count, I don't really feel like we've progressed down the storyline enough for an accurate rating, so I'm going to go with 4/5 now, but I could easily see this moving to 5/5.

Never really thought about how an ASOIAF/Harry Potter crossover would read, but you definitely make it work. And the Red Keep ghosts aspect works great, it's like a little flavor of Hogwarts, except all the ghosts are demented.

Now I'm just waiting to see Tywin's interactions with Tyrion and Harry.

It was all over the story. Harry with his moral highground and holier-than-thou attitude. You wouldn't compromise that with Harry having multiple lovers. I dare you! I double dare you!

    5/5

I love that you avoided sending Harry to the starks, since they are the most obvious people who would fall in line with his ideology. Someone really has to beat it into him that this world is completely different and here, men of honor end up dead(just look at how much the starks have suffered because of there honor thing, admirable, but ultimately fatal) and who better to teach him that than Tywin.

A personal complaint. I detest cercei, more than I should, seeing as she is fictional but fuck I hate that woman. I hated reading her POV in the books, because eek, its like been forced to eat vomit, but I did because I thought I would miss something important. Anyway, I dislike that you're making me like her, I really, really want to hate her and stay that way(good characterization of her by the way).

Am comforted in the knowledge that Harry will learn that she diddles her brother and at least then I won't end up been affected by his affection for her.

Or you know, he only loves one woman but knows, for whatever reason be it an alliance, to pacify a potential enemy, or some other reason, he needs to marry a woman that he is not in love with. He needs to make an heir with them, but he doesn't love his wife.

His mistress, whoever it might be, he would truly love.

So, yes I could see Harry with his morals having multiple lovers. One for duty, the other for love.
