Not even sure if its a mistranslation or Kishi just fucking around intentionally.

 

I really enjoyed this chapter. The Inochikacho yo-yo was ludicrous in an incredible way, and the Cerberus skill was really cool.

I guess Hinata's moment was alright too, just seems kinda strange that she only just managed to figure out the 64-palms.

 

I think it's gamabunta. My only real complaint with this chapter is that Sasuke summons snakes and hawks, but hasn't summoned a snake in like 200 chapters (complete guess). I figured it would happen at some point, but still.

The idea that any of them could keep up with Naruto and Sasuke is about as ridiculous as Sasuke realistically being about to keep up with Naruto.

 

Ordinarily, yeah, but Naruto is pretty low on chakra right now and I doubt he's going to get enough time to recharge his reserves any time soon. At this point, I think Sasuke could 'keep up' with him.

 

Though we've haven't seen either of them go all out yet. Naruto still needs to combine Bijuu Mode with Sage Mode (I demand it) and Sasuke hasn't done anything with his EMS that he couldn't manage with his MS. And I'm half-expecting him to whip out his own Sage Mode thanks to his experiences with Juugo's flesh and DNA.

Well, it was nice to see the Konoha genin do their stuff. Ino's sensing abilities and imparting that knowledge to her teammates so that they are well aware of the enemy positions without seeing them seems to be rather badass and very useful, especially in such group combat situations. Impressed me the most. Hinata was cool as well, and Shino, well, always cool to see him do stuff.

Sakura summoning was about to be expected and it did not wow me, nor am I feeling this new sannin vibe that Kishi is trying to force down our throats. I it just handled so badly, with so little build up concerning Sakura that I really feel that it is more sad that she is there, pretending to be on the same level as Sasuke and Naruto, like a small child pretending to be a police officer or a hero or something.

Nothing much to say about this chapter. Nice, I guess, good for fanfics to write about their abilities but yeah, just that.

 

I'm going to guess that it's Gamakichi, and each summon is effectively the younger replacement of the previous boss summon, thus forcing the 'reincarnation of the Sannin' thing down out throats even more.

 

Also cementing the fact Jiraiya and Orochimaru were so ahead of Tsunade(ain't even funny how) as is Sasuke and Naruto to Sakura. I can live with it

 

Yeah but Sasuke isn't a snake summoner he is a hawk summoner. That doesn't make sense. I mean we have never saw someone summon 2 different animal.

And why would Sasuke would keep snake summoning? More to point why would snakes would allow themselves summoned? He betrayed the snakes once before after all.

Nagato, technically. We've also seen contracts made for humans (Chuunin Exam) and Orochimaru can summon the Rashoumon as well as snakes. Theory I heard is that the snakes are his 'big' contract whilst that hawk is similar to Kakashi's dog pack.

Do the snakes even know what he did? Manda got summoned and was KIA. I doubt Sasuke went and told them that he used them as a meat shield.

 

Nothing in canon says that you can only have one summoning contract. Possessing more than one just doesn't occur very often, as would be expected. Sasuke became a hawk summoner in order to distance himself from association with Orochimaru. But hawks don't seem to be big hitters, which is probably why Sasuke is using the snake contract in this fight. Anyway, he seems to have reached an accord with Orochimaru, so the whole 'taka' rebellion isn't really necessary anymore.

 

I think she has an improved version of it or something. She has freaking tiger heads covering her hands.

IIRC, she also had a broken leg or something while doing that stunt.

 

There are whispers, rumors, that Kishi is contractually obliged to make sure the female characters are perceived as less powerful than the male characters, since this is a Shonen manga.

 

Nah, I think it was more of indication that she was about to stumble or falter which is apparently a reoccurring problem when trying to use that jutsu in full.

 

Finally some Ino-Shika-Cho. They've been lauded since early in part 1, but this must be the first time we've seen an actual combo.

 

The tiger heads might have been from a second skill. That's how I interpreted them, at least.

 

Meh I could care less about girl power! Sakura and Hinata tbh. Wanted Naruto vs Sasuke rematch, although Hashirama vs Madara is a decent replacement.
