Getting both tear and catalyst is a lot of money that you are not spending in proper tank stats, and that can often leave you too squishy in the mid game to do your main job of spamming laugh while standing still in the middle of a teamfight.

A tear takes away 700g, you've lost a negatron cloak or a chain vest. While yeah it does mean you're squishier armor and mres wise, the health you get more than makes up for what you've lost.Also, Singed is a mana fiend, that tear will let you stay in fights so much longer, getting more flips off, more slows, etc. I find that I have plenty of Armor, mres, health, and damage to be a major threat late-game.

Also for reference my build is :
Boots(Usually swiftness, might get mercs), RoA, Arch, Frozen heart, Visage, Rylais.
Depending on enemy team I might drop visage or even the frozen for a liandry's.

 

I hate singed with tear.

Why? Because tear is a situational item for when you are ahead in the lane phase. And Singed is hardly ever ahead in the lane phase vs competent opponents. So every player I see getting a tear on singed is generally someone losing the lane and spending 700g on 1000 mana and 250 hp, instead of buying a straight ruby crystal and pots and working towards something better, or the negatron/chain mail to help them not lose the lane.

It's not a bad item, I just only see it ony bad singeds

 

I think Tear is great on Singed, but he can charge it up so damn quick that he shouldn't bother rushing it in lane.

 

I don't think anyone has said it's necessarily a bad item on Singed, just personal preference apparently. And if an item is rushed on him, it's usually the RoA.

Also, Sunfire on Singed? Frozen heart is so much better in my opinion but to each their own.

 

RoA, FHeart/Randuins, Abyssal, Boots

Core for Singed.

Abyssal boosts his pushing speed and team damage with the MRes redux applying to minions.

RoA cause Singed.

Randuin's since Singed gets into fights stupidly easy and this lets him pin enemies inside. Fheart if he needs to boost ally defenses and Fling CDs.

Best set-up I've had working with singed and it usually railroads people on Teleport/Ghost top since I can gank/push any lane at-will.

 

If it happened, I'm guessing my team would be Kaemrynn, Kellros and I. Well, that's who I've done 3's with the most, with Deakyvia getting mixed in a fair bit... and presuming we get to pick our teams, of course.

Either way, it sounds like a fun diversion, although I'm still probably busy for the next week or so, helping my mother while she's recovering from surgery. Maybe not, she's feeling much better than she did even just a few days ago.
