I'd assume that the line of succession would place the kingship in House Lannister, and if Harry died childless, then it'd fall back to House Baratheon [either through Myrcella or Stannis].

Otherwise, Tywin risks losing his House's primary holdings and titles in the Westerlands to the Baratheons if Joffrey dies childless - and Tywin would never have confirmed Harry as heir if it jeopardised everything he'd worked for.

The opposite isn't true. If Harry of House Lannister becomes king through succession, then House Baratheon still holds all of its titles in the Stormlands. Harry wouldn't possess them, because he's not the Baratheon heir. Only the Crownlands, which presumably come with the King's title, would go to the new Lannister king.

That's how I think it'd play out legally, assuming customary succession laws aren't overriden by dynastic heads [see: Tyrion], but it'll all be decided by fire and sword anyway.

Anyway, Harry/Jon friendship is an interesting idea, but in my opinion their paths will not have many chances to cross for quite a long time. They will probably meet in Winterfell, but afterwards Jon's place is on the Wall and it's the least interesting place for Harry to visit once the game starts. Of course, in this story Jon's fate could be different. Or they could make it work as a long distance bromance and send letters to each other.

 

Yeah, a friendship could bring Harry into The Other's path. If they send letters to each other.

I hope they don't, so we don't have to have them into the game too early.

Insomnia is a bitch, I got caught up in the thought of Harry's personal banner.

I don't know if he's supposed to use a crown in his banner since he's Joff's heir, or that's "just" for the king and their line. (Baratheon adding a crown when Robert became king).

I wanted to use emerald aswell for his eyes, but on a crimson background that was abit meh. I guess you could change the background color to emerald, but that's too much change IMO. Maybe reverse the gold inside and white border.

But I guess it doesn't really matter once he becomes head of the Lannister family he should probably just use the standard Lannister one

 

That's perfect. A black lion rampant, armed and langued gold on a crimson field. I like it.

Edit: That's an interesting sight you've found, Prios. I've made half a dozen shields in the past five minutes. I wonder if they have one for armor?

I know that historically Royal Princes and really important nobles had their own personal Coat of Arms, that they used together with the one form his Family. I know for a fact Henry V had one, and that one of the Plantagenets contemporany of Richard Lionhearted, maybe one of his brothers, also had one. So he could keep it. I really liked it, except the tongue color, better black.

I thought the armor was too over the top, it seems so, eviiiiiil! And boy, is that helmet is ugly. Really ugly. But he needs a personal motto! I suggest "I shall strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers", heh. But really? "Never revenge, only justice". Kinda lame, but a start.
