Any suggestions for jungling Mundo? Specifically about his first 2-3 clears. After that I do fine, but for those first 2-3 it's touch and go. I always seem to recall with 350 or less health, less than 200 if I ganked as well.

I got bored of the random Platinum dudes showing up in normals to stomp the other team and decided to play ranked. It wasn't any better. If anything it was worse.

Seriously. This badge must be cursed.

A Gold II Diana duo queued with a Bronze I Yorick. Diana shits all over her lane, then shits all over the other lanes, then shits all over the Nexus. I couldn't even exploit the Yorick because... well, because he's Yorick. Their Nautilus takes advantage of me having to babysit top and mid to ruin bot lane and the game is over.

And because the enemy team had a Bronze dude in it, I lose a stupid amount of LP for it too.

I think running spell vamp quints used to be what made Mundo not suck in S2... not sure if it's still true now, I haven't seen a Mundo for a while.

Regarding Mundo, could just try running super defensively runes and mastery wise, perhaps armor quints and then hybrid pen reds so you can keep up a little in damage on the clear? Something like 9/21/0 sounds right with magic pen and cdr.

Are you starting machete 5 or cloth 5? Cloth 5 would help with damage on the initial clear, though it kind of forces you to rush boots, ideally.

Another option might be to go rejuv beads and health pots, maybe 2 beads though it leaves you open to invasion, but as Mundo that's something you're gonna have to put up with given how painful the initial clear is. Honestly you either need better leashes perhaps, or to save Mundo for when you're against a slow jungler or a weaker duelist.

    Thanks for the advice.

I already run 9/21/0 as standard pretty much across the board with my junglers, save a few like malphite or rammus who are better off with 0/21/9.

As far as runes go, my setup right now for my jungle page (because I'm a poorfag) is MS quints, AS reds, armor yellows, and scaling mres blues.

Machete+5. Again, it's my standard start with every jungler I play. I've been considering Cloth+5 though, not entirely sure about how viable it'd be in the new jungle.

Like you said, jungling with Mundo is basically asking for an invasion. Yeah, I agree, I should save Mundo for when I'm against a slow jungler like Rammus or something. I just like to be at least acceptable with every jungler I own, and Mundo is about the only one I own where I'm bad. Well, him and Fiddlesticks, but imo Fiddles transitions into AP carry later on, so I kind of don't count him. Also, getting RNG fucked by Fiddles' fear sucks so much.

EDIT: Any suggestions for non-carry junglers? I own Alistar, Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Malphite, Nunu, Shyvana, Sejuani, and Warwick. To the best of my knowledge, none of them can carry, and I prefer to be more of a credit to team than saving grace. I used to jungle Xin a lot but noticed that I was starving my lanes because I was always taking kills. As such, I've begun to gravitate towards junglers who don't really care about kills. Yeah, they're nice to have, but ultimately they don't need them to be effective.

Rune page is fine, standard jungling rune page like you said, honestly doesn't vary much, hell, can use that setup on every jungler in the game if you want to, only a few that really benefit from other setups.

As for non-carry junglers? My favourites are Cho & Nautilus, which you don't own. Naut is a CC machine and brings a surprising amount of damage around the time he hits 7 - 9 due to max shield, assuming people don't nuke straight through it. Naut brings a root, a slow, a knock-up/slow combo and a miniature pull/hook with him - Which he can also use to Spiderman his way around, it's great. Generally any gank with your ult is a guaranteed kill short of a miracle.

Cho? 2.5 Silence, a knock-up, a slow on his auto's & up to 600 true damage on his ult - Great for 'peeling' for your carries, or, more ideally if you get the chance, taking a chunk out of their carries.

Out of the ones you own, Sej/Amumu are probably your best bets - Good kits in terms of damage/CC, Sej is slightly tankier - Both have rather slow initial clears and are definitely blue dependant and liable to invades depending on team comp. Nunu would also be good, dude's a machine at counter-jungling. Start your blue with Q, save smite, instantly go steal their red before they get there/as they're killing it, potential first blood - Though you can get closed in on fairly quickly, so watching their lanes reactions is always vital.

Sej/Amumu can easily snowball a lane with their ults, and alter a teamfight. Nunu is all about putting their jungler behind by constantly countering, though he can just go wreck your lanes to catch up, so, his ganks can be fun too albeit you'll need to pop any flashes/cc before you ult to guarantee a full channel and optimal slow/damage time. Not to mention Nunu is tanky as fuck - Something like 900hp at level 3 with just the buffs from his Q.

Edit; Nasus, also a great jungler - Max e for clearing, then ideally w because that ms/as slow is ridiculously crippling. Plus you can solo Drag at 6 with your ult + smite assuming no interference. Always gonna force a flash with your wither, just a case of getting kited and lacking damage in late if you don't farm your q up, difficult to do as jungle Nasus.

I don't follow. Did you feel bad about picking on the mentally handicapped or something?

In all seriousness, who were you playing and who was your top? Because Yorick beats very few champs in lane now and has always been an easy gank.

With the new machete, jungling needs a basic set up for runes and that covers more or less anyone. There are quite a few who benefit from specialized rune pages (Diana, Cho, and Nautilus are sooo much better with ASPD runes) but you can still use a general set up.

Amumu and Sej are pretty easy to faceroll with, because even at 0/30/0 your ult can still win a teamfight. As with all junglers, the key is map awareness for making your early game better.

Nunu is a great, safe jungler to practice invading and counter jungling on. 1 on 1, there are very few who can kill you because you just slow and bloodboil to safety, unless you've overcomitted. If you do that, you've made a mistake anyway. You can get out of the jungle faster than their lanes converge if you've paid proper attention. Personally, I like invading their blue solo on nunu right at 1:55 since its become the norm to do it smiteless. You walk from mid lane brush into the brush below blue buff, wait to see their mid lane walk away from the wall towards lane, then sneak around to the blue buff brush. You can either walk up and consume or just smite from the brush and walk away. It's surprisingly effective, and sets the enemy jungler behind just as much if not more than a red buff steal.

Nunu's a lot of fun to troll with since you run into lane throw a snowball and run out, fast as fuck.

That nunu strat has become so common nowadays though that it's pretty common to for people to just throw a ward. Very risky if they converge on you, or if you don't get blue as you just get set behind. Still, works against noob junglers every time though.

I was on Nunu, with a Kayle top and Zed mid. Not an ideal setup because of the lack of CC, but I picked first so it was too late by then. It would've been fine except for Kayle freaking out when they picked Yorick. She insisted she couldn't lane against him and demanded to go mid instead. Zed agreed. Unfortunately, Yorick showed up in mid lane when minions spawned and Kayle went nuts. She switched lane with Zed and Yorick just followed her 30 seconds later. So Kayle flipped out again and swapped back to mid, with Yorick following her. So Kayle went top again, and Yorick followed...

Because Yorick and Diana were both pushing their lanes hard, each time Zed and Kayle switched they were losing a wave of minions to the turret and falling even further behind. It took 10 minutes of this bullshit before Zed and I finally managed to explain that the constant switching was losing us the game. We eventually got Kayle to stay in mid against Yorick with me promising to babysit.

Unfortunately in the short mid lane, with a three level advantage over Kayle and no hard CC to lock him down with, Yorick was completely untouchable. He just slowly walked away from everything. Diana did exactly the same thing when I went to gank top lane, except she was also snowballing like crazy from her lead and murdering Zed any time he left the turret. All I could really do is wander between the two lanes and toss random ice blasts, trying to keep the two of them pressured enough that they were too nervous to turret dive. Which kind of worked, it stopped them from dying, but it didn't do anything to help either one catch up.

Because I was so busy trying to clean up the mess Kayle had made of our solo lanes, I had to stop ruining Nautilus' day by stealing his entire jungle. That let him catch up in levels and gave him free reign to abuse bot lane, get their Vayne a string of double kills and take all the dragons. From then on the game was unwinnable :(

Played against a Nunu jungle as Shen the other day. Started red cause I knew they'd invade and was fine with that, go to their blue and the top lane Warick is literally guarding it like a fucking watchdog. I was like, awesome, I'll let our top-lane Lee get a super lead and shit all over this dog...our Lee wasn't even there. Their Nunu starts jerking around in bot so I'm like, "Fuck it, I'll go push top for now!" When Lee gets back I leave and go check their blue, I get there just in time to see Warwick finally take it around the 5 minute mark (by this point he has like 5 creeps total). My team is dying now (this is mid-silver, mind you). We take top tower and get bot, so their entire team storms mid and just keeps shoving but their teamfights are shit, Warwick dives our adc with his ult then Nunu comes ghosting up to use his ult every single time. I taunt him every time and he pretty much just looks like a dumbass. It gets even better when I go to ward baron and find Tibbers tanking it while Warwick, Nunu and Annie try to sneak it at like 20 minutes. I dash the wall, smite steal it and ult away as they look stupid. Probably the most fun I've had in a ranked game.

Any idea what date this Udyr skin is coming out?

Not very surprising when you think about it. Half the skins are ripoffs in some way.

Good news for all the Yorick haters! - He's getting a rework.

Well, Riot at least know he needs to be altered as the majority of the player base dislike him.
